I don't have a save-game right before Sarevok, but if someone who is a real BADASS wants to, they could try killing Sarevok's pals, then knock Sarevok out and pick his pockets........have no idea if this would work --- I'll try it when I get there again, but that may be quite a while from now.

Sarevok has nothing but the Sword of Chaos +2 on him, which you can't get anyway, so don't bother. You can get the sword in the first chapter of BG2.

The first time I finished the game I just rustled up 4 batches of monsters and and sent them forward with Imoen to disarm the traps (which she couldn't do, BTW, anyone managed it?). I loaded her up with as many 'Prtection from...' spells as I could.

When Sarevok started chatting to me I nearly soiled my underwear (hey, Imoen had been with me from the start, I didn't want her dead now :)) and ran to the back of the room. Then I had everyone in the party cast fireball, throw potions of explosions etc. just behind her into the fog of war. Inspired by blind panic, but it mashed up the two mages quite nicely :D. Then I just sicked more monsters on Sarevok and the other fighter and turned them into pin cushions.

I don't see why this a 'cheese' tactic tho'. I was an evil party, I don't see a problem with acting like a bully (Bitch-slapping weaker charcters in hand-to-hand, and running away from anyone that looks a bit tough). Maybe I've just been watching too many old-school Rick Flair matches! Whoooooo!

Oh, and if anyone's wondering why I want her alive if I'm evil, lets just say I have something special in mind for her... ;) And if what I hear about some of the revelations in BG2 are true, that really does make me a sick son of... :D
