At the last moment, a friend convinced me to attend the funeral procession, rather than spend the evening with NWN (my original plan). Standing among thousands of mourners and soldiers as the casket passed, as angry jets screamed frustration against the sky, was...humbling.

As de Gaulle said: "The graveyards are full of indispensable men." Another indispensable man is come and gone, and yet - the world keeps turning, the graves keep filling, and we keep playing.

I think I'll wait on NWN 'til tomorrow.

At the risk of sounding sarcastic, there's really only one thing that stands out from his presidency for me, "I do not recall."

    He wasn't a saint.

    GM -- well said. :sosad:

Oh... and does anyone know what the backwards riding boot signifies in the stirrup of the riderless horse in the funeral procession? Is it something specific?

Thanks very much Falstaff. I had a feeling it had a specific meaning.
