    Good on you! :thumb:

Trust me, you're not the only one :shake:

I have to admit she really isn't my type, but who cares? If you like her, then I wish you all the success.

    Cheers mate.

Result, no competition from the hunk that is Ziad! Personally, I think she's purdy! She's intelligent and a good laugh, too.

I'm having a major fight that I think will end in a breakup with my gf of 2++ years. She is 2 yrs older and she wants to get married. But I don't. She interprets it as my unwillingness to commit. But I simply want to get married when I'm more fianancially independent (working in my dad's company for now). And after a really long argument I'm starting to ponder whether she is the right one for me. I spent yesterday wondering what life would be like without her around. Sure I can handle it. Today I kinda miss her. And I'm wondering whether its just breakup pangs or something else.

We're still fighting. She suggests breaking up. I agree. She accuses me of not even trying to salvage the r/s. I try but she takes it the wrong way. Start over. Breaking up sucks.

The Quiznos of DOOM has worked it's magic again. Dun-dunn! Today's melodrama? My ex's sister admitting to a crush (and other things too - I'm not talking about them).

    *shrugs* Whatever.

She has a shrine for you?

She's from another planet and/or been commited at some point of life? In a mental institution?

She's secretly had three babies but ate them all?

She's actually your long-lost adopted sister?

    She's a millionare?

...oh, I forgot, you're not talking about the other things  :p

Or all of the above? I'm not sure whether that'd be a good thing or not.

8people, darlin', "tired of being pushed around"?

    Please.

You know I never meant to.

But frankly, I don't need to argue about that again, so a lot of this post disappeared here.

Aaaaand to everyone else: Yes, hi, I appear for a moment and will be gone the next. Life keeps me busy, fortunately.

In the general topic: My lovelife is as unlucky and uneventful as Ara's is unlucky and eventful. I haven't even seen girl I'd like after digging through the facade of social correctness. Nor a boy. All I've had are bitter hopeless crushes and girls who are a bit too far away and still not offering exactly what I'd want.

But then again... c'est la vie.

Going to Kitrax's post, when my ex was busy destroying our relationship, I was very grateful for the people who took me in and let me stay while she deep sixed everything that mattered to me. It was nice to find some people with compassion. Karma will come around, Kit, and you'll be rewarded for helping out those who are in trouble relationship wise.

As for the woman who is accusing Mongerman of unwillingness to commit, run as far as you can, my friend. That whole line of **** is womenspeak for "I want to dominate you and every aspect of your life by any means necessary."

I bumped into an old friend of mine today.... and he was accompanied by none other than my ex of a couple of years back's sister. After all the time and the water that ran under the bridge, it shouldn't faze me off - but she looks exactly like her sister, and for a split second I almost thought it was my ex... and it brought back memories I buried aeons ago. Not pleasent memories.

And to make things even better, remember the dream I ranted about a few pages ago? Well, last night, I had the same damn dream, though the events were different... another possibility in the "What if..." arc. Thing is, I do not actively think of her, those dream are actually what reminded me of her.

Why is my subconscious rubbing her in my face after all those years?

Uh, somehow I have lunch with a lovely lass from my last job, during the winter she was avoiding me now she's always wanting to see me. Strange, I'm little suspicious about this lunch. Or maybe I'm just paranoid, and unaccustomed to having someone seeking my presence.

Maybe it's just because of my, uh... lack of human physical contact this past year but she's now more cute than ever. And I do mean gorgeous, but in a classical womanly look. For some reason I found women clothed with tastes (think knee-length skirts, shirts, scarf, hair piece) better than those who are barely clothed. I'm not very ''in'' am I ?

Maybe I should just go without expectation and see how it's developing, at the very least I shall have a good friend.

    I think too much :(

The dinner and the walk afterwards was quite pleasant indeed, though she had limited time it was nice. She showed me the place where she works, her boss didn't seemed alarmed by my presence, and he even offered me a job (wtf?). However I suspect it would only cause more trouble working in the same place as she does and well I've already got a job. She also invented me to a party on June 24th (the national holiday), which is nice.

Frankly it happened better than I had expected, though I'm not sure about her feelings - but hey, which man can claim to understand women anyway? :p - It's definitively worth pursuing.

    I don't believe there's anyone I particularly like/fancy/whatever-word-you-use... it's a strange feeling, sort of calming, but boring nonetheless :/

Definitely not a good idea. I'd say keep romance and work as far away from each other as possible. As much as you like someone, seeing her every single hour of every single day will eventually grate on your nerves (and hers). Not to mention that work tensions carrying home or home tensions being carried to work are both a recipe for disaster.

The answer to your question is probably "none" but let's stay away from (mild) sexism land :p
Good luck with wooing her ;)

It's always boring, until you get in a complicated relationship and look back to the old calm days with nostalgia :shake:
