    Was it because they were too strong to beat you quickly or have great AC so you could not hit them hard? I do not think they have great AC, so attack bonus is kinda useless, but sure, damage bonus is always nice, if it is ever applied that is.

    By the PHB 3.0 and 3.5 the bonus should be to damage. The description from IWD2 also says damage. So i do belive it helps :)

    I still have not found any referance to Favored Enemy giving attack bonus ?

    (bleeh, this new gem is ugly ;)

    Really Silverstar. Their AC may not be as high as our dear friend Madae's, but then again our LvL 5 Drow Ranger doesn't exactly have a BaB worth bragging about does he? :)
    And every damage point counts, considering 1 point is already like 7% of an orc Archer's HP, iirc. 21%, with a x3 critical.

    On a sidenot: At level 16, Drizzt Do'Urden has a favored enemy (goblins +2, magical beasts +1). ;) I got inspired making Drizzt into my games aswell now. Do you encounter Drizzt through the course of the game?
