[IMG] Ok, So i'm playing a bard. So far he's dual-wielding Rapiers (Elf Proficiency), and having Shurikens as back-up missile weapons. Is this a good set of weapons? My normal combat procedure comes as follows: Mage Armour, Resistance, Bard Song, then I throw a few Shurikens as I enter the room or whatever, then hack 'em with Rapiers.
    Feats:
    Weapon Finesse (Dex 16+2+1=19)
    Weapon Focus: Rapier
    Improved Two Weapon Fighting
    Two Weapon Fighting
    Ambidexterity
    Dodge

Are these a good set of Feats/Weapons? Or should I have skipped the Dual-Wield and gone for others? Such as Extended Spell and Silent Spell...combat casting?

And what would you recommend for a Ranger? Halfling, too, so He can't use 2-handed weapons, but Longswords as 2 handed!

    Advice?

Gopher, for your bard, that rapiers sound like a great choice. High dex, weapon finesse, etc ... all make for lots of hits, good damage, and (most importantly) staying in character.

For a halfling ranger ... wow.

I'd say hand axes might be a good choice (I found magic hand axes very early on in my game), or battle axe/hand axe (not sure about the battle axe as one handed for a halfling....)

Plenty of good short bows and light crossbows out there too!

    Happy Hunting :good:

Off handaxe is a good offhand weapon, and is available relatively early on. Are longswords one-handed for haffers? If so, that would be a good main weapon. Scimitars are good too (if they're one-handed). I never found any good rapiers in my game, but that's probably because I played a cleric and never used them.
