As I understand it, they were selected as their agent is trying to buy the club. There are a number of clauses as well - they have to play every game and have to be let go if another club offers more than £35 million. (i.e. put them on show, flog em off and, as their agent, make a packet.)

I agree Barmy the Haka is an awesome sight, to see 15 men shouting defiance in the face of adversity, is truly inspiring. But you also have to take into account that to the New Zealanders rugby transcends religion and they are rightly proud of their team. I'm hoping (apart from a miracle where we retain it) that we see the best of the All Blacks when they lift the trophy next year, I do not want France or worse Australia winning it.

Nice praise from the Englishmen here. :thumb:

Sahem we can't throw a ball into a lineout. If you're playing the All Blacks huts kick it out. You're bound to get it straight back.

    21. november Finland vs. Portugal

My brother has this *great* idea, we're gonna go to a Portuguese pub with Finland flags and get beaten very badly. Still reconsidering, but I guess I have to do it

Just loving my country, that's all. And Finland even seems to have a decent chance to win , so I guess it's worth doing.

I might need some  before doing it, though.

Heh got to love Crouchinho, that's 11 in 14 international games for him now. The guy is on fire, that's a great ratio by anyones standards.

He's big, he's red, his feet stick out the bed, Peter Crouch! Peter Crouch!

Less than one week until Training Camp for the NHL. I can't get the song "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" out of my head...

Springboks won again last night, this time beating the Wallabies. That's it for the Tri-Nations for another year. Next stop, the Northern Hemisphere tour.

Sharapova won the U.S. Open over Henin-Hardenne. There were some good rallies in the match, but too bad it didn't go to a third set.

    Back to American College Football....

#1 ranked Ohio St Buckeyes prevails over #2 ranked Texas Longhorns 24-7

This is the first regular season matchup of No. 1 vs. No 2 in a decade.

Finally saw Sharapova win something important and against a top rated player, she did play very well.
On the other final, Roger is unstoppable, Andy ran out of gas when he lost that last serve in the third set. Federer is a monster, he scares you just by being on the other side of the net, no matter if he isn't playing even at 60%.

So that other thing she won was not important? I think it was one of the really minor tournaments. Can't even remember its name.

Yes she beat Serena at 17, and she hasn't won anything serious since until this weekend, losing in the semi's 5 times to Justine Henin-Hardenne.

Also she is now No 1 in the world again having beaten Mauresmo and Henin-Hardenne, so it's not as if she's a bad player anyway :skeptic:

Hey, I like her. I was waiting for someone like her to beat Justine or Amelie, I always had faith in her, is just that she spent too much time 'modeling' than playing for a while.

Hah, and Jonny Wilkinson is injured again. That didn't take long!
