Woohoo! Black Caps struggle to 195 and then have a blinder in the field to dismiss South Africa for 106. Yay! Pitch was a bit dodgy, but South Africa did win the toss, so they can't complain. Go the Black Caps!

Orange Brawl... I mean Bowl, baby!
I watched the game last night, and really, I never saw something like this happen ever in a NCAA or even NFL game.
It was just a 14 to 0 game, why so much heat on the field?
Also, a commentator was fired because of his commentaries on the brawl.

Assuming "fookered" means Razzaq putting on an onslaught of a run chase to beat Sri Lanka. Whack!

Good on the Windies betting t'Ozzies :) . They are a vulnerable looking team this last year or so! Long may it continue.

    You've got to love a hat-trick.

Australia are rubbish. Looks like the Ashes are safe for another year.

    Until they start winning again.....

What's with all those wides that Steve Harmison keeps bowling? How hard is it to bowl straight?

We're playing Sri Lanka tonight. Go the Black Caps!

Harmison wants to get himself sorted out. He's gone for 26 from 2 overs this match then go taken straight out of the attack.

I couldn't care less about the Champions Trophy or the upcoming world cup to be honest. Test cricket is where it's at.

Bond back and in the wickets today. Let's see how long it takes before he's injured again. Made of glass that fella.

Only because England are so rubbish at one day cricket at the moment. You are so selective in what you choose to follow! You should follow your team 100%, no matter what, no just in the events they happen to be doing well at. It's like we heard so much about the England rugby team from you in 2003 but have heard almost nothing from you since. Be a real supporter!

Anyway, the Black Caps had a great win over Pakistan last night. 3 wickets for Shane Bond. Game finished at 6am this morning so I'm going to be tired again today.

The slap and tickle of ODI's have never really got my attention. I consider test match cricket to be the 'real' cricket and ODI's are just for the more impatient fans and the way of trying to get none cricket fans into the sport. It's nothing compared to test cricket.

You heard alot about rugby in 2003 because the world cup was on!! There's been nothing of note since, except the 6N which I commented on. Don't talk daft mate.

I like Bonds new delivery. The slow yorker. It's an interesting one that. If it's picked, then it's going to go for six, but if you can disguise it well then it'll catch a few batsmen out. He really hammered them for a few overs. The Paki's have never liked that, facing short balls, they can't play them.

The All Blacks play England at Twickenham in only 11 days. The England squad was just named. No Jonny Wilkinson again, and no Dallaglio, but that knobhead Danny Grewcock has managed to get in again.

Dall has had his day now. And Danny Grewcock is the best lock we've got available to us right now. Shame his fuse is about as long as a rats willy. 'Thumper' loses his head and does stupid things (like his tendency to stamp on players heads in rucks - guwon son!), but he's a very good player beside that. Intimidating.

He does a good job of intimidating the sinbin bench after he gets sent off you mean. Some All Blacks will no doubt get sent off on this tour as well, but it's not the same one each time for us. I guess it is a good tactic of England's for people to specialise in what they are good at!

After Martin Johnson hung his boots up, we were never going to be able to find an equal replacement. Grewcock is the best we've got by a long way. He's a good player when he's not getting sin-binned...

Same story with a lot of the WC team really. We've got no replacement for Neil Back, no-one good enough to fill Jonny's shoes and sicne Robinson flitted to rugby league, we're struggling for a good team of backs (Cueto can't do it all on his own).

Englands problem is that we have no real leader on the pitch and team is far too static and slow. We're only good on slow, muddy English pitches. Otherwise we get ran off the park. If you look at the NZ team, it's full of running and when a player gets tackled, the ball is up and back in the hands of a runner again in a matter of seconds. England are far too slow at recycling the ball and keeping plays going. That's it in a nutshell.

That Cueto does look good, but he hardly ever gets good ball. Unlike Jason Robinson, he was the most over-rated rugby player ever.

Still, every test against England at Twickenham is tough. England seem to like pulling out their best game for when they play New Zealand (except that time a few years ago when they sent their C team over to play us because the clubs wouldn't release their players).

Well, I wish we had more 'overated' backs who can get as many tries as he used to for England...

World Cricket XIs? That is tough, because it is so hard to keep track of who all the players are in each team. For example, I had barely heard of that Mohammed Yousuf character (the guy with the WG Grace beard) but he has somehow got over 7,000 one day international runs! He's a great batsman.
