I say that Moonspell's Memorial album is one of the best in this year so far.

This sucks! My headphones that I shelled out $50 for are disintagrating! The rubber sheath that wraps around the back of my neck for the right headphone has about 20 holes, and the copper wires are poking out. The worst part is, I can't sneak my Mp3 player into my work now, beacuse I can't afford for the headpones to actually break.

This lack of music at work is driving me nuts! I wish my favorite radio station would get their arse back in gear, and quit playing all this new crap. :nono: :rolling:

Just went out and bought Silent Civilian's "Rebirth of the Temple" and In Flames' "Clayman." I have yet to listen to them fully, but some of the solos on Rebirth are sweet!

Yay! Sabre got Clayman. In Flames had better pay my commission fee.

One of the songs on Memorial sounds like a scene from the Megadrive/Genesis game Strider :thumb:

Hmmm... after listening to Clayman, I'd have to say that there is one thing I really don't like on that CD... when the vocalist mutter/groans the lyrics into the mic. Its.... eh.

But other than that, its a good album.

Silent Civilian's Rebirth of the Temple is great - not amazing, but it has some excellent tracks... great lyrics too. Of course, I think that because I agree with most of their political sentiments.

I've gotten alot of music recently... my friend just sent me Since the Flood's Valor and Vengeance. They are great live! Their CD is good, but the guys voice seems a little muted (not as in quite, but muffled).

Bah, I thought this would be finished by this weekend, but it wont (you guys haven't posted in an entire day  ), so I can't count it yet.

I am still not over the weirdness of being in a band.

and no, I have no idea what sort of music the band plays.

Ahh, a band. Those were the days. Booze-chugging, pot-smoking, and playing metal for headbangers in small clubs. How I miss those days.

Ara, do you sing, or do you play something?

DotW, did your band ever record anything?

No. We had plans to record an album, but differences began to rise in that era, and they escalated so quickly that the band dissolved into dust before the recording started.

There might be a few bootlegs of our tribute shows circulating out there, but I doubt it.

Thats a shame :( It sucks when bans have different ideas and have to split... it happens to to many of my favorite bands.

Well, our guitarist quit to wed, our drummer wanted to take a more commercial direction, and some unresolvable differences arised between myself and our bassman, which very nearly escalated to violence. It was a bitter end, indeed.

Ocean Colour Scene - one of the best bands of recent times, IMO!

God Forbid is great... they have great lyrics, great music, and sound great. I listened to their two most recent CDs today (Gone Forever and IV: Consitution of Treason).
