I've gone and lost the Smashing Pumpkins CD I borrowed from the library. The only place I haven't checked is the car...but I don't remember listening to it in there.

I dropped a line to the library's staff, asking them to add 3 Megadeth albums (including their new one that will be out soon) to their system...but they emailed me back saying there isn't a high enough interest in the band to justify adding three albums. So I did a search on the albums they *do* have:
    Hidden Treasures= 2out/3 holds
    Cryptic Writings= 4out/4 holds
    Risk= 4 out/2 holds
    Rust in Peace= 4 out/6 holds
    The World Needs a Hero= 2 out/3 holds
    The system has failed= 10 out/3 holds
    Greatest hits= 15 out/4 holds

They have a lot of copies of the two latest albums, but not very many of the others...but still, of all the 36 Megadeth CDs they have, every one of them has been checked out, and there are currently 25 on hold (waiting to be checked back in). That sounds like they are still popular to me! :flaming: Sure, they might not be as "hot" as Rascal Flatts who have 19 copies for one CD that also has 92 holds on it...but the heavy metal fans need music too. Why should we have to suffer because a bunch of red neck hillbillies are popular right now? :bang:

Stupid top 40 lists. :rolling:

I'm stuck on Bob Marley this week. I can't get enough of 'Exodus' and 'Punky Reggae Party' it seems. :hippy:

But that's not a bad thing. :rolling:

Has anyone heard the new Rammstein CD, Rosenrot? It was released here about a month ago, and I was wondering whether or not I should pick it up.

Yes. A friend of mine's been playing that during last night's party. Not exactly great, I daresay.

Rammstein are crazy... look at some of their lyrics. *Shivers* Some of that stuff is scary.

Haha, yes... you can read some of their lyrics (with translations) here: http://herzeleid.com/en/lyrics

Some of their stuff, like Weisses Fleisch, Mein Tiel (really weird... its about the German guy who let a cannibal eat him... blech), and Rein Raus (it means In Out... I wonder what that could be about ;) )

But they sound good, thats what matters in this case.

I read some of those lyrics and quite liked some of them. I don't like the band musically, though.

    ...I like weird things...

Haha, I thought you guys would like that...

But it definately sounds better in german:

Zwitter, Zwitter! (Zwitter, Zwitter!) sounds better than
    Hermaphrodite, Hermaphrodite! (Hermaphrodite, Hermaphrodite!)

    :p

I really like the lyrics to the songs Nebel, Adios, Sonne, and Amour. Good poetry... I wish I could understand German so I could get the full meaning...

Ugh...my fiance likes Brian Adams. :nono: I keep telling her that he sounds like a cheap rip off of Bon Jovi...just in a more femmie way, but she won't listen to reason. :p

Me? I've got my old Smashing Pumkins craving back for the time being. :rolling:
