    I know - my mistake. I was hoping he might be more attractive than his photo but there was a reason for the odd angle of the photograph. Don't get me wrong - he was a really nice guy and I don't think I'm shallow for saying this but there has to be a certain amount of physical attraction between both. I think I just get a little too optimistic sometimes.

    I was going to respond to this until I noticed that it was two pages back. Then what the heck, this is random babbling, so it should be just fine to respond to stuff that happened while I was away on a holiday getting an impressive tan, right?

    Insulation is wonderful, isn't it? Also appartment complexes. While we did have the warmest winter in probably recorded history with barely 3 night's worth of frost, we had a comfortable 20-22 degrees C inside without ever turning on the heating. I think our neighbours below do all of our heating for us.

    As long as the outhouse is shielded from the wind, it's usually not so bad. To be fair, at -30 (Celsius) it's definitely a motivation not to start reading the newspaper when going to the toilet.

    At least it gave you time to think about it.

    refereed our second men's team yesterday. If those boys ever shut up, and concentrate on hockey, they will win their division. Idiots, the lot of them.

    The winning goal(against) came from a penalty corner. My fault as referee that they lost, had nothing to do with the other side that was way stronger.

    Got a phone call on Friday from Rob's office to say that they'd called an ambulance for him. Turns out he had a kidney stone that was stuck between hiss kidney and bladder. It's now passed into his bladder but he did some damage to his right kidney in the process and they were concerned that he'd ruptured it and would need surgery.
    Luckily that turned out not to be necessary.

    I had to laugh though, when they took him up to the ward they pumped him full of morphine. Rob doesn't normally take anything stronger than paracetamol so he was OFF HIS FACE!!!

    The doctor came round and asked him if he'd ever had surgery before. Rob told him about the operations he'd had on his ear as a child and the doctor said that was fine but had he ever had operations on his stomach or anything. Rob couldn't understand him so carried on about his ear.
    After the doctor moved on to the next bed in the room, Rob turned to me and said
    "I really liked him until he said I was nil by mouth; then I went right off him...on the other hand, he can't be that bad because he did give my testicles a little fondle"

    I CRIED from laughing!
