Yeah, each bluray volume has an extra special episode (half-length). There's also an OVA episode.

Also, Berserk is getting a new series after almost a decade (not counting the ougon jidai movies which were just a recap).

I haven't read the manga in years. Last time I did he was still on the boat. The Boat is like the Berserk equivalent of Soul Society in Bleach or Namek in DBZ.

 

I just recently read somewhere that he finally got off that boat, but I stopped reading when he got on the boat. It was a "huh, it's been that long" moment for me. Glad I missed out on the non-Gutts stuff, because the hawk-guy is just a complete non-entity to me now, let alone his cronies.

I'm glad I missed out on the Bleach anime, the manga was bad enough already without all the anime filler.

But then again, I have no patience for much in the way of series anymore.

 

Bleach fillers weren't nearly as excruciating as Naruto fillers or DBZ fillers.

 

If i recall correctly, the reason the manga was so slow to update was because the author of the berserk manga was coping with some sort of health issues ?
I did read some of the more recent chapters, and Guts did finally leave the boat, though the story seems to be focusing more on Rickert at the moment.

 

Was DBZ anything but filler? Or perhaps I should have been glad for actual filler rather than reaction faces and plain waiting around for something to happen (usually Goku arriving late).

I believe there were personal reasons for berserk updating so slowly, yes. I believe Rickert has been the focus for the past decade, though I'm not patient enough to check.

Hope you have a beer or a good cigar with that. And, I love watching rain fall. From my balcony too. My balcony looks like a wild cat playground at the zoo (net-protected, on 11th floor, with cat shelves on walls, all in either green or natural glass or wood), and the view includes lavish city greens (if you ignore the blocks of concrete), so there is a bit of a pleasant tropical sensation*.

* Which India Pale Ale is particularly good with.

 

After a whole week of nothing but sunshine, we've had a few spots of rain here and there today, though nothing that lasted longer then 5 - 10 minutes.
Just my luck that i had to pop out to the shop this afternoon and got caught right in the middle of one..

 

It's gonna be mostly sunny next week.

 

What!? We're talking about weather again. It's funny how people fall back to that when they don't want to start an argument and they have nothing really to say but they feel they must say something. We could talk about food ... there is another unchallenging topic that everyone has an opinion about.

 

I'd love to start an argument. Trolling youtube comment sections can only do so much for one's self-amusement.

 

Well, most forums and chatrooms I frequent are kinda dead these days. Everyone's too busy being self-absorbed and/or retarded on facebook/twitter/tumblr/reddit/etc. and I prefer to avoid such cesspools if I can help it. Even trolls need to have standards.

 

Since there seem to be some manga readers in here, is anyone keeping up with Attack on Titan? I don't read much myself, but i've been keeping up with this one religiously. Absolutely brutal.

And I just realized my 5th year anniversary here just came and went a few days ago.
