I changed my name to make it less easy for my ex to find me. In the early days I was far less outspoken than I am now. I didn't start to make bonds with some of my friends on here until after about six years and then later I disappeared for about four or five years because my controlling ex didn't want me to have friends anywhere.

That was a far more detailed answer than I expected.

    - Normality? We can talk about normality until the cows come home.
    - What is normal?
    - What is home?
    - What're cows?

I define "normal" as anything that doesn't result in people giving me weird looks, running in the opposite direction, and/or reaching for their personal firearm.

I'm pretty sure cows don't come home on their own. In my experience, you have to herd them back from their pasture.

All behavior done by a majority is considered normal.

So when enough people grab their gun...

Actually it's pretty old news. I spilled my guts in my blog here for a while and now I'm reasonably sane but never boring :D

That's all fine and dandy, but I would have been fine with just the first sentence. I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to respond to an answer like that.

It's like when you ask someone how they're doing and they actually tell you. :p

Depends on which country. Here in the Netherlands those questions are more easily answered like Dice did.

In the Netherlands only the Police, mad(wo)man and criminals are armed. Less collateral damage.

Aww, you didn't get the reference? :p

Cows do come home on their own if you train/motivate them properly. Some farmers here have them go out into the pasture by themselves, and they come home by themselves, they even walk into the milking machines by themselves.

I was never a big hitchhiker fan. All my D&D characters carry towels with them, but that's about it.

Must be a different breed of bovines because ours are beyond lazy. I occasionally had to nudge them with the tractor just to get them to move.

Based on empirical evidence, if you don't know the answer, it tends to be 6 rather than 42.

Well, your summers tend to be a bit warmer than ours, I suppose that I would get pretty lazy in 25+ degrees as well.

So what you're saying is, carrying around 42 towels was entirely unnecessary? I've been incurring penalties for carrying a medium load for no good reason.

There is empirical evidence to suggest that 6 would have been a more optimal number of towels, yes.

What part of this song is sticking in your head? Sounds like background noise to me.

Hi, Dicey. :) Three months ago, I know. You're one of the oldest regulars who I never seemed to have talked to properly, which is unusual, considering I spent like 90% of my teenagehood on these here hallowed grounds and IRC. How are you?

Also, I am in Okinawa. On Friday I am going to go work on a goat farm/hostel, on a little tiny island with population <1,000. There are sea turtles and coral reefs on the beach. It's going to be Interesting and excellent; I might even learn to swim. Goodbye~
