Since I will be in New York for Thanksgiving sans Internet connection I will wish everyone in the USA a Happy Thanksgiving Day. Eat up tis NOT a day to diet.

For those of you elsewhere I wish you a happy day but you still have to diet. :)

I don't think we're doing a Thanksgiving dinner this year. My folks are still out of state, and Jessica's mom just makes horrible food...so I'm hoping we'll be able to avoid her since we will be at work all night.

Now if my aunt or uncle invited us over, we might make an appearance. :rolling:

One weird day of school coming up... 4 classes, all an hour long. I have an hour long free followed by half hour of spanish (teacher has to leave early), followed by a test, followed by another long free...

@Nakia: Don't they have Internet in New York? :p Happy Thanksgiving anyway! :)

@chevalier: If you're at work, make sure to play something quiet so the managers can't hear it! ;)

@Colthrun: If you don't like rain, I think you live in the wrong country. (Dublin - been there, done that, got drenched!:nolike:) Unfortunately I can't suggest that you move to Denmark (you'll be welcome but it won't solve the rain problem...)

Edit: Hey Gnarfflinger, nice portrait! Congrats!

Starting off with teh Weather Report
    (whoa, I actually typo'd that disgusting 1337 term :( )

Showers and drizzle throughout the day, temperature hovering just above freezing and light offshore wind from the East bringing the precipitation to us. Be warned that arthritics will be grumpy. :nolike:

ION, I got more info on Hospital-Bill-Gate: I paid the invoice to just head off any griping by the other party, and began inquiries with the finance office by email; got a reply this morning confirming my suspicions of double-billing. (the first receipt I paid at the day the work was started didn't have an ACCT# or any details apart from "X-Ray/Lab Time")

The itemizing of the charges were under two "Patient/Client Account Number" entries: SF44360/07 and SF44286/07 as follows:

    Chest X-ray: $117.00 (SF44360/07)
    Interpretation Fee: $34.81 (SF44360/07)
    Venipuncture: $25.47 (SF44286/07)
    Creatinine: $1.33 (SF44286/07)
    HIV Antibody: $20.10 (SF44286/07)
    Leutin Screen: $20.10 (SF44286/07)
    Urinalysis: $10.05 (SF44286/07)

Anyone wanna confirm my addition skillz that these items total $228.86? Which is the EXACT amount I paid back in July on the day the services were rendered and three months before they wrote up a bill for an 'outstanding' charge of $25.47 for "Venipuncture" on C/P Acct# SF44286/07?

I shouldn't have paid the second invoice; it'd make their error more glaring. :heh:

Hell, give me a knife and a glass...I'll draw your blood for free! :rolling:

We're going to my wife's aunt and uncle's for Thanksgiving tomorrow. All the aunts, uncles and cousins will be there. :nolike: I'm sure that there will be some drama because there always is. I'm not used to the crowd or the drama since I normally spend Thanksgiving alone with my parents and we're a pretty harmonious group. Oh well. It could actually be funny since most of the drama is usually about stupid stuff.

Well, more like 'take the offered blood', and in a manner that doesn't injure the donor unnecessarily and prevents outside contamination of the blood sample(S) for testing, and in this case, deal with deep veins that tend to roll...and my wife has a big needle-phobia (she only fainted once this time) *whack* butshe'sverybraveinotherrespects! :mommy:

(I gotta make sure she's not reading over my shoulder next time...ow.)

You know? Put like that, and I want to pay the $25. :p

But only IF the service was actually provided twice will I pay the second charge (or at least, not harrass them for the $$$ back  )

I remember K telling me one time they got charged twice for urinanalysis but that was because something was wrong with the first sample so she had to give a second sample anyways...or something...

THAT I wouldn't quibble over, but I'm sure I'd remember....(checks wife's location)...having to drag her to the chair, and let her squeeze my hand to crushing pressure a second time this year...

Oh, and after getting my ears boxed again, my wife had a suggestion as to how she would like to have her blood drawn: it's SFW, honest!

gotta learn how to type faster

Gearing up for Turkey Day tomorrow. Got close to 50 people showing up, and only 1 or 2 of them are not family members.

My graphics card won't be back but the replacement is there. So I've decided not to pick it up until the weekend, but well, get it on Saturday morning regardless. Then I'll have some play perhaps.

Same here, just started playing it a week ago. Probably starting a "little people" multiplayer with gnome f/m, dwarf cleric and halfling swashbuckler.

Watching Sopranos again, man that show is addictive.

I ought to shave. Which I refuse to do.

My fingers are itching to buy an external 500GB HDD, which I won't, because I'll have to buy me my set of glasses next week. I have my bloody appointment with the ophthalmologist on monday  My first glasses
