Learn the ASCII code for it and it'll be easier. I had to make a lot of Polish signs this way under DOS back in the time. With some practice, it isn't so annoying any more.

*sigh* I feel terrible, just said goodbye to my girlfriend cos I'm off to uni tomorrow :( I knew I'd feel bad, but I didn't realize it'd hurt quite as much as it does! It might have been easier if we had been going to uni at the same time, but she's got a week to wait still, or if it wasn't her birthday in 2 days!...

...life sucks...and this should probably go in Relationship rant, but I wasn't planning on writing all that...dammit...even my iTunes in conspiring against me! Its playing all the sad songs! :(

ION I'm still not packed! Hurrah! :p

    Happy Birthday, Kitrax!

    Glad the headache's gone, Ragusa!

More mice to you, Kuemper! EDIT: (in the traps, that is)

I had to go into the office for an hour to deal with an emergency but I'm home again, pokily on the net with dial-up. I must say that one of the nice things about these boards is that they load pretty quickly even on dial-up. Nearly everything else I do on the net takes forever from home.

I am sorry to say that I had pizza for lunch and ice cream for dessert. This is insane behavior for someone of my age, weight, and digestive system.

You really wanted to hear about that, didn't you?

    Last day of summer!

A friend of mine told me she got into a Chinese gang war two days ago. Luckily, she was unharmed. In any case, she told me she had her lunch break, and sat in her car when she thought someone had let off firecrackers. What she heared was actually shooting. She only noticed when she looked in her rear mirror and saw some Asian guys with guns in their hands running towards her car. So what she did was to start the car, drive over a red light and call the police with her mobile phone.

When she was interrogated as a witness by police afterwards it reportedly came to this scene: One of the cops asked her: "So let me recap: When you saw them guys with the guns coming at you, you started your car, drove away, stopped at the red light, waited until it was green, then drove on for a safe distance, until you stopped and eventually called the police?"

She of course answered: "Hell, no, of course I crossed the red light, and of course I called the police while I was driving, you think me stupid?" (which are both traffic violations, and here, of course, justified).

I would have liked to see the face of the cops when she said that. In any case, though the elegance of the initial attempt had been so thoroughly trashed, they explained to her that in this case they would see no sensible reason to pursue these traffic violations any further.

Ah, traffic violations. The heart and soul of law enforcement, no?

Back in the day, no citations for misdemeanor traffic violations unless they happened in view of the officer or were evident from the circumstances of an accident - so, when I was carrying that trusty citation book, no use confessing your red light violation to me, because I couldn't cite you.

Now dear old Knoxville and many other towns use cameras at intersections to take pictures of your tag and issue a citation to you through the mail.

ION, I seem to have escaped the consequences of my foolish lunch.

    I'm making cookies today.

Helped a friend carry a sander into his flat. Nearly broke our back carrying it up the stairs - that thing is far heavier than it looks! Went out for a drink in the sun when we were done, but as soon as we sat down the sun disappeared and was replaced by a small army of wasps. Grr.

    Ugh...

12 hour shift, class, 3 hours of restless sleep, followed by another 12 hour shift isn't good for one's health. :bad:

    Yawn... :rolling:
