Moving is finally complete - unpacked the last boxes a couple of hours ago.

Now, all that's left to do is piss off my new neighbors and throw a big ass party, which I planned to do anyway.

And my former housemate's invitation "somehow" got lost in the mail. That sucks, doesen't it?

I used the in-laws dishwasher.

 

DAMN, I've been discovered, of ALL the people there it HAD to be your card? And you do realise I work for the city of Montréal right? (i.e ville de montréal )

But seriously it's very disturbing, I assume you checked with your credit card compagny to declare felony right?

 

Oh, yeah. It only took twenty minutes to get things started for an investigation of these two charges, add to which, until this point the card in question has NEVER been used for maybe a little more than a year since it was activated (there was an offer of a coupon for groceries that compelled me to actually 'turn it on'

The supervisor was confident the situation was an honest error - similar card number entered by mistake that day for that person, and they're fully aware that I will not be paying a PENNY of this until they can provide me proof that I agreed to the charges (or agreed to the person making the charges having authority to do so) even if it takes them the 'forty days for us {to obtain a copy of a sales draft from a merchant}'.

So I'm pretty certain I'll have this resolved to my satisfaction; I'm just concerned about a) how much effort and willpower I'm going to have to exert to GET that resolution, and 2) that the 7800-odd Air Miles these charges give me will have to be refunded!

But one amusing thing occurred to me before getting around to calling up the cc-company: if this WAS fraud, it's laughingly ironic that the charges being paid fraudulently appear to be FINES!! ('Quebec Justice Amendes'?)

I'd better start packing... I leave in 12 hours and I am going to sleep for 10 of them.

 

Work, work, and more work...followed by parties, parties, and more parties!

Hell...I'm skipping my lame physics class on Saturday morning to rest up for the rest of the weekend.

 

Finally took the Civ IV Beyond the Sword disk out of the drive long enough to play 2 PBEM turns. Then back to Civ IV. Man I'm totally hooked...

That and I had to load a trailer with wood. I'd like to tell the customer that the price is as reasonable as the weather--it's too hot, the price is too high. I don't think that Dad would go for it though...

 

my girlfriend moves to the U.S on Monday, I'm going to be very drunk the next few weeks

I.O.N., I started getting stomach cramps maybe ten or fifteen minutes after I got up; dunno why...

Oh, wait - I know; because it looks NICE AND SUNNY outside; yesterday I spent a fair chunk of time on the phone, then the rest of the day running errands on an overcast and somewhat cool, gusty day. Now that the weather's turning appealing for nothing more than lying outside reading a book, encouraging my body to produce vitamin D, something crops up to deny me that.

Either Shell is a redneck and actually moved her double-wide to a new trailer park, or she can turn in to a gigantic version of herself and can actually pick her house up and place it elsewhere...

Ahh, up till 1:00 AM last night for assorted reasons - way past my bedtime! And then in to work at 8:30.

I am too old for this.

But not too old to babble!

 

Man, that party was unbelievable... so is the hangover, however... my bro arrived with a hugeass 60oz bottle of Jack Daniels, so how could I resist?

Tip: Jack Daniels mixes very well with Coke Zero.

At any rate, I think I'll go get a massive dose of caffeine and a couple of Tylenols...
