    Hot again here. No surprise.
    I made the mistake yesterday of commenting about low number of hurricanes this season and got sharply corrected by someone keeping an anxious eye on Chantal. Sorry, Canadian friends. I should watch the WHOLE weather forecast more, instead of just listening for the chime that heralds the multi-day forecast.
    Working, trying to catch up from vacation, and already plotting to take two weeks in October. Plus I have a continuing education event in September that will be work but at least away from here.

    Im bored, work is dull. Sitting here updating a comp that just had a nice fresh install of XP, unfortunatley the XP disk was only SP1 and thus lacking alot of updates. Bleh!

    Today is my last day of work before I fly up to Washington DC. I still have quite a bit of work to do, and a limited span of time (this afternoon) to do it in. Today will be a busy day as soon as I get off of work.

    Well, she's past us and heading for it, but we're still under the 'train of her dress' - and are gonna get more rain tonight. (some small communities have declared emergencies due to flooding)

    But tomorrow appears to be clear, and not QUITE too windy for the crews to row; so the Regatta will likely go ahead...closing down just about every shop and store the same day I get paid. :rolleyes:

    I think I'm gonna go digitally KILL something repeatedly to vent frustration now... :grr:

    I want a pool. My own personal pool...not that nasty cesspool they have at my apartments...but a Olympic length pool that's wide enough for at least two lanes, and a jacuzzi at one end. :love: :rolling:

    Babbling on break. Re cats, one of the people I spoke to on the phone this morning had to put me on hold to extract her cat who was climbing the upholstery.

    I have had three people try to give me dogs in the last two days. Do I look like I need a dog? I already have an owl, don't I? :)

    Hope Chantal doesn't do any more real harm.
