You know... a slice or two of bread with some tomato paste (or sauce)smeared on it, and a couple toppings of choice with cheese can be a quick fix in a situation like that. I know... its not the real thing.. but really, give it a try - can be pretty tasty :)

@Kuemper: You should try the Manilow Method on those mice. I've heard about a guy who's evicted voles from his yard by blasting radio shows nonstop inside the ground through a rather complicated pipe system :)

Thanks for all the pizza jones suggestions.

/me casts Otiluke's Freezing Sphere on self. spell fizzles due to heat/

ION, the Wal Mart, only large grocery store in the county since they ran everyone else out of business, was closed this morning because overnight power problems, maybe a lightning strike, shut down their computers and crashed their satellite up link.

Ah, it's cool here in the office but there is no pizza here. I must give up on pizza for now, I think.

I bought "Boiling Point: Road to Hell" (has a very promising name! ), "Temple of Elemental Evil" and a gamepad for "Lego Star Wars" and "NHL [add year]" .
The games were 2,49€ each and the controller 14,99€.

    Thank you Germany.

    @ Dragon3, a rodent.

I was involved into an accident earlier today.

Except for my nursing whiplash, broken front bumper and some paint trading, everything's fine.

Oh well. I needed an excuse to repaint my truck, anyway. Time to whip out the House of Kolor catalog.

@ Dragon3 - Here is a little information on Voles.

We used to have them living near the lake that I grew up. As far as rodents go, I found them particularly friendly and they never came in the house like pesky mice do. There are several different varieties of voles BTW.

You'd be proud of me. I remembered my laundry before it was bed time!

Now to remember to put the clothes in the dryer before I go to bed and I'm all set.

This assumes that I can actually sleep tonight...

Gah, the whiplash didn't hurted so bad at first, but now it hurts like hell.

I got checked up at the hospital earlier this eve, and my neck's fine, which is the good news. I was given a small prescription - roughly a week - for painkillers to relieve the hurting in my neck, but the stupid pharmacy closes at 5PM, so I have to wait until *tomorrow* to get the freaking pills. I *had* Tylenol with muscle relaxant, but they're nowhere to be found, which leads me to assume my Jezebel former housemate kept them - helped her during PMS, IIRC.

Insurances are repaying for the damages on my truck since I'm not responsible for the accident. I'll have them cover the expenses of getting the necessary supplies in order for me to redo the paint job, and I'll do it myself - no more boring factory colors for me. Besides, the paint on my truck is an unique mix I did myself, so they'd have a hard time finding the exact same color.

Dfly, those rodents are actually pretty interesting - are they sold as pets? Surprisingly, I find myself missing the company of rodents - and so does my cat.

Yup, voles don't come into the house but them digging tunnels might make your lawns holey ground and you can contract pretty nasty diseases from them.

@DoTW: Nope, you'd be lucky to find a pet shop that has voles to sell as pets.

Grrr! My 12 hour nap was interupted 8 hours in by my dad and my bro-in-law. After they left, I was able to fall right back asleep for several more hours...but then my stomach woke me up. After I fet it, I was tempted to go back to sleep, but decided against it. :rolling:
