    @chev: only sofware for now. I'll get to the hardware part after I've ghosted the HD (only in case, I tend to drop sharp/pointy/heavy things on top of more fragile things).

    @Colthrun: I used to prefer backup, format, restore to defrag... Virus scanning? Back in the old day that meant data backup, disk format, application reinstall, done. But these days I just use third party freeware stuff that isn't too laggy. And especially when I can leave the machine on and do something else.

    Went to a Memorial Day ceremony because a WWII vet I know was the speaker. Got sunburned. Low flyover by Army helicopters. Also aging vets raising flags. Not many WWII vets left these days. They added the name of a local soldier killed in Iraq to the war memorial. My friend did a good job but it is an essentially depressing sort of ceremony.

    Back to work tomorrow. Oh, well, the rest of the day today has been relaxing.
