@Shell, no I am a Hunter, you tame a pet sorta like a ranger. In less than a week I have a lvl14 warrior, and a lvl 15 Hunter. I am seriously hooked!
    RL... what is that?

Haha, I just decided to add a picture to my profile. Figures the only picture I can find has one of the most severe cases of red-eye in any picture of me ever.

    Ugh, what a morning.

The day started fine until I was about to leave the house and then I remembered that I had put a wash on yesterday and forgotten about it. So I hurried down and put my shirts into the drier for a few minutes before taking them out to hang but I couldn't spare enough time to leave them in the drier as long as I should have so they are probably going to turn out all wrinkled anyway.

I threw the rest of the clothes into the drier and went to drive to the train station and what do I find but my car doesn't work. The engine starts but my car appears to have a top speed of approx. one kph. The yellow check engine light is on - no kidding, I would never have figured that one out on my own. So I manage to pull my car back into my driveway and I hoof it to the train station.

There is nothing like a 20 minute walk on icy sidewalks while carrying a heavy laptop bag. Anyway, I barely manage to catch the train (one later than the one I would have taken if my car hadn't betryaed me) and as is typical these days there were delys because the train company after all these years still seems baffled about how to cope with winter.

After grabbing breakfast at the foodcourt I head off to meet the woman who is supposed to have my passcard for me - it turns out that she is late and I end up having to stand around waiting in the lobby. When she finally gets there she takes me over to the passcard guy and he tells us that he doesn't have one for me and that I will have to get one from the people on the floor that I will actually be working on.

The woman who was supposed to be arranging for my passcard loans me her card so I can get into the floor I am going to work on, and I head on up and sure enough my contact up here has a card waiting for me and if I had come up directly I would have avoided all of the hassle. Now I have to take the elevator down from the 50th floor to the lobby and take a seperate elevator to the 7th floor to return the borrowed passcard - and then retrace my route back up to the 50th again.

Oh, and at some point I will have to figure out how I am going to arrange to have my car fixed.

Hooray, my day just got A WHOLE lot better. My Dad went over to my house, managed to get my car running, and took it to the dealership. It turns out that there was a siezed valve in the anti-pollution system. The dealership guy temporarily fixed the valve and has order the replacement part. The car is still under warrenty so I won't even have to pay to have it fixed. :thumb:

I wouldn't call them "funny" per say, maybe "touchy" because you have to be careful how you use them or they overpower the dish they are put in.

Hey, you got the famous Jack Daniels distillery in Lynchburg... doesn't the place that makes the best whiskey in the world counts as a touristic attraction?

Daduh daduh daduh! I browsed the realm of Random Babbling in a quest to find bits and pieces I would fancy. Lo and behold! We have profile pictures! Profile Picccctures! Yaaaay!

Now I get to put the same old picture of me into yet another site! Since a "friend" of mine still hasn't mailed me those pictures she took almost six months ago! Humph. :flaming:

edit: Never mind...I'm so lost with computers that even adding a pic to my profile goes beyond my puny skills. :o

Iku-Turso, you need to have it uploaded somewhere, you just put a link to it in your profile.

DoTW, indeed, surely they should be promoting the oldest distillery in the United States in their tourism ads! Of course you're right. Who wants mountain biking when you can drink Old Number 7 straight?

And others are right. Though it's called Tennessee whiskey, really it's Bourbon, as far as I can tell.

    Damn right. :shake:

Bourbon, whiskey... does it matter? Served on rocks it's a pure delicacy, and that's good enough for me.

Well, I guess we could argue whenever Daniel is whiskey or not, but one thing is certain - the stuff is pure delicacy.

In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue.

Once upon a time I was a solid player, a long time off and times have changed. I am the opposite of Ragusa's hated player... I'm too quick with my moves, missing the obvious often resulting in my queen dying at the hands of pawns and the like.

I think I will play a game of chess now on yahoo...
