I really wish I had my books on Norse mythology or at least my book on the Saga of the Volsungs down here. I really want access to the little part about Gudrun and how she refused to cry during Sigurd's funeral. Can't remember why the old woman wanted Gudrun to cry.

Nakia, good to see you back on the boards!

@JSSB, that really sucks, but I have made a mess of my own life, so I wont give you any advice.

More snow tonight, at least I only had to use the broom. Out of tequilla and rum, so I geuss it is Nyquil to the rescue.

That's my preference. I can only drink tequila if it's in a long island iced tea, or an AMF. :yum:

Heh...my college has a rather large predicament on their hands. They have a strict 22 day attendance policy, and due to the upcoming winter break, everyone attending the school will be automatically dropped from class by the computer system unless they modify it. In every class this week, we've been given a lecture by one of the administration staff, telling us that is it *critical* that we go to class the week before the break, and the week after...otherwise, we *will* get kicked out of school. :bad:

In other news...now that most of the students in my programming class have M$ Visual Studio, my programming teacher told us that if we do all the lab work at home over the winter break, print the code and bring it in the week after the break, he would give us the earned grade for the work (labs are worth 30% of the class), and he would let us sleep or goof off in class for the rest of the quarter. Attendance/participation is a whopping 60% of the grade! So if I decided to go that path, I am guaranteed at least a 'B' in the class...even if I totally bomb the final exam. :D

Suddenly, VB.NET doesn't seem so boring. :p :rolling:

Thank you muchly to those welcoming my return to beloved SP land of my sanity. :D

Probably will take me a week to catch up especially since this is a busy week RL.

However I went back to check what gem of wisdom BTA had given us in his opening post.

The thought came into my mind: What if we could play a halfling paladin? Now a gentle smile is on my face. Do we have a thread in maybe IWD of "What if we could play ...?"

    Welcome back, Nakia!

It's snowed for two days here now - winter is in with full force.

Again, my co-workers reinforce the oft-faulty belief "everyone's an idiot except for me!"

(BTW, it's the "except for me" bit that's faulty :) )

    Welcome back Nakia

You can play a halfling paladin. Ragusa has been doing it for years. :1eye:

I let my boss' boss know what she has done and the fact that I am not at all happy about it. I basically told him to take my name off that working paper. I guess I will have to wait to see if he actually does anything but we will see.

@Mesmero, Thank you, thank you for the link. I don't care for Paladins but a halfling one I might be able to play. Must give this some thought.

@JSBB, If I was a mage I would send you a good luck spell but believe me I pray and hope your boss listened to you. What she did was unprofessional at the least and an insult to you. I would say more but I think it would be censored. People like that bring out the worst in me.

Wow, with my new 19 inch widescreen monitor, I can actually see more clearly what all of your avatars are! I can now see all of the pieces that make up Disciple of the Watch's avatar, not just a black thing with a red spot. Amazing. It's like a whole new world has been opened up to me.

Yeah, 19 inch monitors are pretty awesome! My mind is so full of details right now from researching PCs that I don't think that I could order one today if I had the money. I should have the money in about a month, and I can't wait.

Called off sick agian today, blasted head colds!

I'm close to another cooking level. I listened to German people today while fishing and told hubby the convo with a very good pronounciation (in his opinion).

*removes Saber's foot from his mouth*

    Poor you.

Re-installing BG2 in my comp is a chore. My folder is nearly 5 gigs, which is taking too long to transfer
