    I just got a cheque today on which my surname is horribly misspelled :shake:
    It's not AC payee, so I'm hoping the bank will let it go through. It's only £10, but still.

    Is it a town centre bank?

    My old bank had a big town centre branch and a smaller village branch. I found the smaller branch were much more accepting of mistakes and things

    I'm not sure I want my bank to be all realxed about mistakes on cheques. I think I'd rather have a bit more security over my money (even it means occasional inconvenience).

    The banks around here seem to pay no attention to anything other than the dollar amount on a cheque unless there is an actual complaint. I have seen many cheques that were cashed without being signed by the cheque writer.

    Not really. It would just be really weird for a kid to come begging at my door for lollies. You have to admit that the whole concept is pretty odd and is not something that I have ever actually seen in real life. All the kids I know would just laugh at me if I suggested they dress up and go and hassle strangers at their houses for food.

    Holy crap!! I just had a can of Rockstar (16 ounces) seeing how DoTW is always going on about it and others, and I feel like I will be up for about a week, which isn't too bad because I have to work tonight.

    In other news, I got a bunch of winterizing stuff done, and I think I am pretty much ready for the snow when it gets here.
