    Midgies are hellish little creatures that resemble small, lightly coloured flies that have a longing for your blood equal to that of any mosquito. They fly around in swarms, so if you feel even one bite, you get the feeling of inevitable doom as you realise the rest are also coming to feed. They inhabit wet woody areas, generally in Scotland. Unfortunately, said areas would otherwise be perfect to camp in.

    Disturbingly, the ones I encountered recently put me under a form of seige- I managed to have no exposed skin for them to bite, but in return I couldn't eat or drink. Eventually I cracked and the buggers got me. :(

    The bird 'the Boobie' is an ugly bird howecer. There's something about having blue feet that just doesn't sit well with me... Hawks and eagles are the best. :thumb:

    Utah has the worst state bird ever...well, 2nd worst I guess since I hate Pigeons worse than Seagulls... :skeptic: :rolling:

    Well, there was absolute chaos on the streets today as people packed the footpaths to watch (perv) the "Boobs on Bikes" parade. Unbelievable for what was really just a bunch of porn stars crusing down the street. Amazing. Got bored of waiting for them to come past after a while. Maybe this will become an annual event and people will come from all over the world to watch it.

    My dad read an article on booby birds and thought it would be hilarious to teach Jack to shout 'BOOBY BIRD!' and point whenever he saw a bird. Suffice to say, we've had a few funny looks when out for a walk....
