    If I didn't have a family I would quit my job right now. I am so sick of day shift coming and trying to say I don't know what I'm doing. Just becasue they have been nurses for 20 years doesn't mean I don't know how to do my f******g job. Hello, if I was that much of a f**k up they would fire me. And these are the b*****s that run to me when ever they can't figure out to run the f*****g computers. F*****g neanderthals.

    I'm so tired, but I am so pissed off I can't get to sleep.

    Hey DS, I've missed you since they took away the internet at work. Hope your holidays end well. I have five days off, and I will need them all to calm down.

    Yes, it is an Intensive Care Unit. Lots of patients on ventilators, and many IVs to keep up thier blood pressures(or down in some cses) We get the sickiest of the sick.

    I can imagine so, rarely we have people in intensive care here, but normally it's just nice and quiet. Time to say hello to the patients and goodbye when the die or returns home. Next time I would like to work in a coronary unit...

    Our ICU is technically a CCU (coranary care unit) as well, but we can't do heart catheterizations, so usually we just stabilize them for a day or so, and then they go to a hospital about an hour south of us for their heart cath, and/or surgery. The heart is a very interesting organ.

    Could tomorrow go to the beach and take a swim, since it was pretty hot and sunny today. Plus, our local swimming-hall is closed for the next three weeks. Got two places to choose from: a lagoonish but a bit too popular beach near me uni, or a less known, regular beach near me home. Hmm...
