I think they are pretty much vodka and ice, right now.

Work sucks, I had a friends dad last night, and he died today while I was off. I am death, and death surrounds me, the reaper has come for another soul.

[edit]Sorry so glum, that just slipped out of the drunken fools keyboard. Bad vodka. :D

It gets to us all sometimes Brallrock and my sympathies for your friend's loss. It's no real help but it's well-intentioned and heartfelt, keep the faith :)

    Kuemper's Dream Journal

I met Felinoid and Kitrax in my first of 3 dreams last night. They drove to Iowa for my folks' anniversary. I think Kit was there only for the roast beef. :yum: Felinoid and I talked for a long time and he wanted to see this little town I grew up in. We hopped into his mint condition, dark green (the good green color, not that avocado junk) Impala convertible. We could only get one AM station, but it was the oldies station and that was okay. :thumb: He hated 3 point turns and drove in reverse the whole time.

Dream 2 was all about doorknobs. A segue of weirdness for...

Dream 3 - a giant moth (human sized, about 6 feet tall) was eating my socks with giant chopsticks and soy sauce. No wasabi.

Is that the Christian interpretation? That's not something the Catholics ever taught me. Interesting.

Anyway, the Jewish interpretation is that when God freed us from slavery in Egypt, we had to go immediately - there was no time to let the bread rise, so we grabbed the dough and baked it on the desert's hot rocks. Eating matzah for 8 days now reminds us of the sacrifices we have to make for freedom.

I was raised as a Baptist, but I was taught that yeast could spoil the loaf, as sin could spoil the soul. I have no assurance tath Jews believed the same. The Bible does make the referance of sin to yeast, but I don't recall the referance.

Unleavened bread is specifically Catholic. One of the reasons why the Orthodox split was that they considered our unleavened communion bread Jewish. We also pour some water in the communion wine, to symbolise us, the people of God, as opposed to the wine, which symbolises (before consecration) Jesus's blood, perhaps in a more divine sense than the human water. :)

    Huh?

/me rubs her eyes to make sure she read what she thought she read

WTF? Dude, what do you think matzah is? The Catholics might have changed the recipe but the whole "unleavened bread" idea has been around far long than your church.

That's weird I'm Catholic, and still I haven't heard anything about yeast and unwhatever bread.

Ofelix now realise it must be because he has no idea what ''yeast'' is and he was raised in french. Meh

edit: I require nousrishment! See you in the fridge!

@Ofelix: Yeast is "levure" in French. It's the stuff that makes bread rise and that's used to ferment beer, wine, and almost all fermented alcoholic drinks actually. Some species are also opportunistic human pathogens (and quite nasty ones too).
Although my fingers itch to go into a long-winded talk about the molecular biology of yeast, I'll try to repress the urge.
