    Corn leaves a horrible smell in the fridge. Onions, on the other hand...

    My girlfriend is being sent to China for 4 weeks to give training in their office there... and I can't go visiting because I've already used up all my holidays! :(

    I have to sing the praises of a most unexpected entity...

    the Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles.

    When we moved back from Oregon, having been gone almost 10 years, we discovered that our old licenses were still in the system! We didn't have to re-take the exam, just pay the money and have a picture taken (it's not even half bad, at least I don't look like Monica Lewinsky in this one).

    So earlier this I get a renewal notice. There's a line there about online renewal, so I check it out. All I had to do was provide my license number and a credit card, and I was done in five minutes. Sweet.
