    First day of work went great. From what I have learned so far, it is mostly a filing paper work kinda job for a trucking company. And taking orders of course. The boss is great, and I already have a company supper coming up next week. Get to meet the big bosses.

    Casual means relaxed but clean right?

    @Jaguar: Clean and preferably neat but nothing official, yeah. Anything from jeans and t-shirt to dress trousers and a shirt with buttons.

    ...as opposed to a shirt without buttons, but in fact with a space age kind of adhesive strip that keeps your equipment stuck to the surfaces even in a zero gravity situation.


    Stick with the buttoned shirt....

    Whatever shirt you wear Jaguar, make sure it has a collar. Roundneck T-shirts are a :nono: So is anything in day-glow orange. Full-sleeves or not is a function of the weather you could expect.
    Just hope your jeans aren't tattered like mine are (generally at the knees). That wouldn't work either.

    There is always the obvious method of determining what is acceptable casual wear of looking at what the other employees are wearing.

    Otherwise I would generally put the clothes to the dinner-date test. If you would wear the outfit out on a date to a reasonably nice restaurant then chances are it is okay to wear as business casual.
