i kicked ass on my numerical methods test. i might graduate next cemester after all

 

Well, I had a pretty bizarre week-end from a movie watching prospective. This is what happens when I don't select the movies myself.

We started out with The Replacement Killers - which I had already seen several times but it certainly beats what followed.

Film two was House of the Dead. Oh my God - that film had to be one of the most lame and idiotic piece of garbage that I have ever had the misfortune of watching. Who on Earth would think that adapting a video game into a movie and them splicing clips from the game into the middle of the film's action sequences would be a good idea?

Film three was Undercover Blues. It was surprisingly funny and enjoyable although I don't know if having just finished House of the Dead might have contributed to that.

Film four was The Hebrew Hammer. That seemed like an incredibly strange choice to me. It was fairly lame although after House of the Dead it didn't seem so bad by comparison. I ended up being asked all kinds of questions about this one - many of which I had no clue about. Apparently my friends are of the opinion that since the senior partner in my old CA firm was Jewish, and since a large chunk of my clients at that firm were Jewish, that makes me an expert on Jewish culture.

 

I'm so happy. Can't stop smiling.

Thanks, HB! I'm probably going to be this happy for a week. Or a long long time. It looks like I haven't been dumped. You probably know how it feels to think you've been dumped and it's over and then find out it isn't true, don't you?

 

If that is a generic "You" that you are using there, Chev, I have to say no.... namely, since one has to HAVE a relationship to get dumped and/or undumped.

On a random note, there us a cat licking my monitor.

 

Hmmm...what flavor is your monitor Ara?

 

Can your cat come here and clean my monitor as well?

 

@Ara: At least they aren't trying to get a litterbox under your computer desk or marking your bed to attract other cats...

Was able to get out and do a couple small jobs today, but not much otherwise...

 

I had to borrow some funds from the folks to buy groceries. Independence tends to humble when the food starts to run low.

 

Athens is absolutely amazing. I'm having such a fantastic time, and I can't wait to see more of it today.

The weather is a lot better than the weather in Canada, at least in my opinion. Hot, not much humidity, and fabulous.

HB, re the Screenshot of the Week. I think that the guy is responding to your PC's threat to hit him with something the size of Elminister AND his hat. Had to go back and look at it again.

 

Sick sad world. But at least I did sent a christmas card today

 

Im having a baaaaad day, 6 cups of and my eyelids still feel like lead weights, I ate well, I slept well, but today I cant focus on the monitor without spazzing out evey 5 minutes

This will be bad if I'm the same tomorrow as I've got a very important reason to go down the pub and drink

Only 15 exams to go

I *really* need to find out if my laptop had any information recovered off it. I've only realised recently that some schoolwork is on there...

In the meantime: Time to work on Mazzy!
