hah, Iplayed Fable all day. Finally managed to kill the relatives off

 

Most of the studying done. Some fifty eight pages left. Again, the test starts in eight and half an hour from now, which probably means no sleep. Sleep is for the week of will.

Sleep would be good, except I need to get this monument report further along so I am not pulling yet another all-nighter on Tuesday.

I hate 9 a.m. classes. They're evil.

I've just had to drink a bottle (1.5 litre) of water to offset caffeine dehydration from all the coffee I've needed today to be able to study this boring stuff. Still over twenty pages to do.

And a coffee in the meantime.

 

Well, I think I'm a bit more sensible today, though I was speaking to an elderly woman on the telephone on Saturday night and now I haev the overwhelming urge to wish everyone I see "wellbeing" for the new year.


and WTF is a 'php board'? How will it affect SP?

 

I thought this was already a php board. I doubt it will affect much, but I heard it well help us against all the recent hackings.

 

PHP board is message board engine written in PHP, like, for example, phpBB or Invision... or any other mothern board, for that matter (unless it's written in ASP or JSP, but I've never seen any). The board engine SP is currently using is a CGI one, fortunately in the more intelligent version, meaning CGI scripts are only used for adding or changing posts (topics, polls etc) and the actual content is in pure HTML with no server-side calls. It could be quite slow otherwise.

Ah, my poor g/f. She signed up for an investigational drug study and now she has to face the downside of the study...the blood draws! The first week she went in they needed 2 vials of her blood to see if she could participate...she passed out. Tomorrow they are taking 4 vials. Not much, but to her it seems like it's 90% of her blood. Oh well, that’s why I usually drive home afterward.

 

Blood draws aren't as bad as they look. I was about to faint only to realize that I could barely feel it the first time I had my blood drawn.

...all this talk about php blah blah, when will it get updated and how long will it be down for? (hope it won't be!!)

We have a donation trailer that comes for employees blood once a month at my work, I've never gone due to the fact I don't think a pint of my blood is worth a sweetie, I can just go to the cantine for that ... maybe I should just give it a go this month...no please...NOOO!!!!
