Hmm... 3:38 am, time to study. It's just 180 pages for Monday test. Nothing special. *sigh*

    Wow.

I'm completely smitten with Pirates. I can feel the fatigue in the back of my head, and I know that Newton had trouble getting 2 hours of sleep per night, but I'm completely infatuated with this game.

    *sigh*

The absence of voice actors is a bit...un-nerving. It really needs some people speaking. I don't care if it's french, dutch, english, or spanish they are speaking; just not random chords.

Anyway, the Carribean is a horrid interaction worthy of political science study. Plans within plans within plans within treaties within bank accounts within gold fillings from dead jewish teeth. It's a crazy balance of economics and politics and warfare, all contained in a century of exploration.

And the funny thing? It's European history. It's not American history. It's not African history. It's not Asian history, nor Australian history. It's Old Money Spain. Cortez and Columbus. Henry Morgan and Louis XIV and Oliver Cromwell and that worthless assmunch Newton (damn him to hell).

    ---

If you've played Pirates before; if you haven't played Pirates before.

Play it. At least once. Twice if you are so inclined. It has it's drawbacks; it's not perfect. But it's really...really...really GOOD.

(note: You know. I don't mind the English. Nor the Dutch. Not even the French. For some reason, it's always Spain I'm after. My God, I decimate their entire regieme and hand it over to all the other powers. If I'd lived in the 1600's, Spain would have hated my ass for all eternity and 3 days.)

But Spain was the richest target. Would you rather mug a bum who's got maybe a nickel left after his last coffee or the rich guy with a wad of cash looking to blow it at the bar?

Chev, that picture on you website reminded me of the Deadites off of Army of Drakness! The look on the guy's face is priceless! Great Jorb! :thumb:

I have to get up a 9am tomorrow so I can go to my parent's church...such a lowsy time to be in church. I think that god would prefer that everyone sleep in on his day of rest, before going off to worship him...I know I would. :rolling:

It's from Warcraft 2 manual art... the original release, ages ago. That's because the site belongs to a Warcraft 2 Battle.net Edition clan (it's a largely Starcraft-engine-based re-release of Warcraft 2 with battle.net multiplayer option). The first guy to talk to me started talking about money off the bat and he looked quite happy to get a promise of big discount. But when I finished the job, he showed his true intentions. He said no contract no money. So I said no contract no cash. Finally, I talked to another one of those guys and he was a decent one. He apparently didn't know about the money deal etc etc, so I gave it to him for free because he was kind and it would have been a pity to put the site offline forever after people already saw it and liked it.

    [IMG] Bah!

I had written a three page plan of a story a little while ago and cannot find it anywhere! All I remember is that it was quite good and the title...

Hmm, guess it's back to square one then.

Got a HIM CD and am rapidly wearing it out :p

Also got a livejournal. Can put mod updates on it :rolling:

But it goes, somehow. Maybe I'll even finish before the test.

Latin assingment for the week: Translate four sentences from English into Latin. As much as I like my prof, I really don't like him for giving us that assignment.

I can't wait until this term is over.

I am not sure if even the yellow socks can save the day...

@Uytuun: But quite often it's women who give a man such an experience that he starts complicating things. :p
