    Am currently listening to CCR "Someday Never Comes". Don't quite know why but that song always gets to me.

    A cute little girl. Makes me want to make my parents grandparents. When I held her I thought "eh okaay". Thats until she smiled. Then I was sold.

    First paintball game today. The most exhilarating thing I have ever done. Don't diss camo-gear. It really *does* work! Went really well in the forest course. Think I'd struggle with some of the indoor/urban courses, although I'd enjoy all the running around a bit more.

    @Zurga: Congrats. Does being a godfather create marriage impediment between your family and the families of other godparents in your denomination? I'm asking because it does happen in Eastern Christian churches and the custom of having three godfathers already seems exotic. ;)

    First the word godfather was the only word I could translate it to. When the priest stated our dutie, he said something like: If the parents should have an accident and die, we should, if we where capable to do so, see to it that the child was raised in the christian faith.
    I theorize that in old times, this was a way for parents to secure their childrens future. Also while you don't need to have any godparents, only witnesses, having only three is sort of small. IIRC you can have ten. As for Eastern Christian churches I dunno, there are primarily lutherans, the one I belong to, baptists and a handfull of catholics.

    Well, the beautiful French student...who's name I finally learned was Natalie...has agreed to come over tomorrow on my day off. I suggested that the 3 of us (me, my g/f, and her) go to the theater, since there are a few movies I really want to see on the big screen; but she said her host family has already taken her there too many times since she's been here, and suggested that we just watch a movie at my apartment...so I agreed and gave her a list of all my DVDs. She said she wanted to watch 'Braveheart' and then possibly 'Wild Things'! I can't wait until tomorrow!!! :thumb: :rolling:
