On a pain related note, from Rang & Dale's Pharmacology 6E (a textbook):

It is rather hilarious in my current mental state - after hours spent on CNS chapters, finally an instantly usable piece of info, in RL terms.

(TRPV1 is the vanilloid receptor (transient receptor potential vanilloid receptor 1), expressed by nociceptive afferent neurons - which transmit the action of painful stimuli to CNS, from say, skin).

Haha, that is awesome... especially from a textbook.

It's 3:00 over here now, so I'm gonna take a 3-4 hour nap and continue cramming for my three tests tomorrow. Woot!

One should be easy because I have the previous semester's test from a friend, another should be easy because the subject matter was extensively covered in my high school classes, but the third will be brutal... Boo on that.

Sweet, I think I found the right flat! Not terribly far from the college too, so works for me -- yes, that DOES mean I'm going back to college.

You can "watch" that song with pictures on You Tube I think. I remember seeing it somewhere. I'm a girl, but I still found it funny.

The Irish traffic police has finally cracked the case of a notorious serial offender. Mr. Prawo Jazdy, from Poland, had more than fifty unpaid speeding tickets and parking fines, and each time he had given the Gardai a different address.

The case was solved when a police officer looked up the offender's name in a dictionary. "Prawo jazdy" means "Driving license".

The Irish Times expects the next serial offender to have her cover blown to be Mrs. Library Card of the Czech Republic.

Taking my step daughter to be to try on some bridesmaid dresses today. The one I really like is white with a sash round the middle and little rose buds on the skirt. The problem is that the kid ADORES pink and the trim on the dress is pink. I'm going to have a hell of a time trying to explain to her that we'll be changing the colours to dark red!
