    Hey, 8people, if I lend you my books, can I come and play?

    Uggh, we had an unnannounced fire drill today -- right in the middle of a test I was administering on the joy that comes from knowing your irregular past participles. So they all cheated. Yet the class average will still only hoover (that's not a spelling mistake, BTW) around 60%.

    [​IMG] Managed to grab pdfs of the books I need to tide me over until I get home. Alex has the core three books, so I should be able to get to work now :)

    LKD, you are more than welcome to join us if you're able to get to Southampton every week and sit in an enormous cupboard ;)

    I'm going to set up some special lighting and everything in there, it will be so awesome!

    As a disabled student with extra equipment I have an understais cupboard which I can stand up in comfortably (at 5'2") until it turns round the corner and continues on under the stairs, it's a spiral cupboard!

    Laundry's always very exciting :lol:

    Well it's Saturday and the most most exciting (and only thing) I'm doing is go sit until 9pm listening to people talk. These people happen to be those who funded me for the last 3 years, so I suppose I owe them something. Not terribly excited about it though...

    As for getting high speed...once you're browsing porn at light speed, just remember that you have a bad back...try not to aggravate it. :evil: :p

    Speaking of high speed...it looks like I'm going to be stuck with lousy old 1.5Mbps DSL for another year. The local phone company/ISP is rolling out a 12Mbps/20Mbps fiber line to select neighborhoods all around Salt Lake City...and as usual, my neighborhood isn't on the list. :bad: I could be getting 8 times the speed for only $5 extra per month, but nooooooooooo. :bang:

    In other news, I need a maid. I hate cleaning the house. :nolike: :rolling:

    The year I started liking Discworld novels (2006?), TERRY PRATCHETT CAME TO CHRISTCHURCH TO DO A BOOK SIGNING TOUR. RIGHT IN TOWN. ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES FROM WHERE I LIVE.

    And I didn't learn of it until it was over.
