/me feels sorry for the bug (which doesn't sound like a cockroach) :p

(Btw, some cockroach species can fly.)

EDIT: Ziad beat me to the flying cockroach bit, it seems. :)

Summer has kicked in, and kicked in big time - a suffocating 33 degrees celsius. Had to whip out the old basketball gear to stay reasonably cool...

We're into the 30's (Celcius, here) with humidity. No wonder I don't want to go outside anymore...

It was a balmy 18c here today. I guess I was the lucky one among you other Canadians here. I really hate hot weather and my computer hates it more.

Bah. Mid 30's is nothing. Try spending a summers day in northern QLD. Nice mid 40 temperatures, a lovely 70% + humidity rating for most of the day, then a nice big thunderstorm in the arvo. Cant beat it:thumb:

The party we were supposed to have tonight was a flop. :bad: Only 2 people showed up...and one of them bailed on us shortly after. So the 3 of us went out and saw the new Adam Sandler movie, which was pretty funny. :D

The sucky thing is, I've got over 2 dozen Jell-O shots in the fridge...which I could probably eat all by myself...but I don't feel much like getting drunk tonight. Is that sad or what? :rolling:

    Mmmm....

I just bought myself a 52" HDTV.

I've been drooling over the same model for a few months now, and I finally said, "F*** it, I want it now!" :D

In other...yet similar news - wall mounts for large LCDs are overpriced. A few peices of 1/8" and 3/16" steel, a few welds, and a little paint is *not* worth $200. :rolling:

We're having a dinner party tonight and most of the guests are bringing their children along. I don't mind children but I'll most likely get stuck with looking after them all evening, which won't be fun.

It's funny actually. I'm 21, but in the family I'm still considered to be the perfect company for two year olds. :shake:

Tiberian. And you might consider losing the "both" in your signature.

I'm sorry, but it's been bugging me all day. :p

So how much does fuel cost for the rest of the world?

Here, it's $2.09/litre. News this morning suggests it's going to raise. This equates to 1.5USD, 0.97 Euro, and 0.78 pounds.

Or, falling into deep conspiracy theories, the could be very well testing to see if she has the "maternal fiber" and the proceed to gently nudge wanting a grandson/graddaughter.

Oh, crap, wait, I've already seen something like that so it's not a conspiracy theory.

My own old folks have been told loud and clear not to expect me to spawn any descendence... I have cousins, let them take care of multiplying.
