For three consecutive days now, I've been awakened before 6 am. I'm not fond of this trend...

It saddens me to find that the majority of my fellow student in college has no idea at all of what I am talking about when I use the proper french term for computer-related discussions . I just don't see the point of using foreign word in a language when there is a native one for the very same concept. When I speak English I use English word, then why should I use none-French word when I speak French? It makes no sense to me!

I understand that currently there is a prevalence of English term in many areas, also I recongise the need for a Lingua Franca when many people of different languages gather (like in this board). But is this Lingua Franca should be used at detriment of other native languages? I think not.

How hard would it take to take five minutes to learn the proper terms? I'm not saying that because I hate English, in fact I use it regularly (mainly on the web), and I do make effort to use a proper English. Then why people doesn't understand me when I do the very same while speaking another language?

So, is this situation similar for other none-English speaker of BOM ?

PS: I also notice the irony of denunciating the improper use of French...in English

PS2: Is it me or my rants has become a fundamental part of my posts?

    Err, what?

And no it wasn't Miles O'Brien it wasn't a regular character, it was solely from this episode.

I have no rant at this moment, that's a new one :p

I am tired but thank goodness it's Friday.

Unfortunately I have to work tonight, but I'll have a nice birthday party to go to tomorrow.

Does anyone think that a few bottles of nice imported beer is an inappropriate birthday present for my friend?

    Yeah I noticed

That said, I do exactly what you accuse your friends of doing, except I do this bizarre mish-mash of all the languages I know. The result, as expected, is not pretty. "Hello, kifak, ca va?" is not exactly what I'd call sticking to a single language (or even two), and there's certainly nothing technical about any of it.

For some reason, the sun is out at the moment...

Had a weird dream last night too...my son had been turned into some weird kind of cross between a zombie and a vampire...and was constantly in a state of melting...

After complaining about 6 am wake ups, I found myself unable to sleep at night. Then I had to stay up to cook lunch...

I'm going for this charity tango dancing today.

Also I've just become an unpaid freelance radiojournalist apparently, which means I've no time to go home and change clothes and almost no time for dinner. So I'll be a bloody chickmagnet when I hit the dancefloor with scrubby clothes and smelling of fastfood grease. But hey, I'm a journalist, well, kind of

    Whee!
