It's better to be called a nerd, then to be called a prep. Honestly.

Well, thanks for consideration. I shall gladly return the favour in form of a few freebie lessons for you, should you desire to improve, of which the hope still resides in my caring heart.

@Virne: In my highschool class 'twas more than 60% and it didn't rule at all...

A quote for you, chev: "The Romans never would have found time to conquer the world if they had been obliged to first learn Latin." - Heinrich Heine.

I came back from a trip (in Norway) this morning, after we had driven a day and a night (16 hours in a car, and 7 hours in a ship). Of course, it was damn hot too. Well, you can guess that I felt dead after that and slept to 2:30 PM.

Anyways, it takes really long to check forums and mail after being away one week.

Actually university doesn't differ at all in this regard. Don't know about colleges, never seen any.

BTW: 1600 posts. Welcome to the mile club (mile is 1600 metres)!

Look at me: already 519 posts. Should I feel different? :p

Chevalier, if I have understood correctly, it should go like this...

    1) Peruskoulu = Elementary school
    2) Lukio = High School
    3) Yliopisto = University/college

I'm not sure of the english terms...

    Here it was:

    1) Elementary, roughly 7-15
    2) Middle (of various types, degrees of diffuculty and rankings), roughly 15-19 (some shorter, some longer)
    3) University/Polytechnic

    in my times.

    Now it's:

    1) Elementary, age roughly 7-13
    2) Gymnasium (called gimnazjum here), age roughly 13-16
    3) Middle (IIRC they have already made it one type only for most of people), age roughly 16-19
    4) University

It's one big mess. To describe such a condition we have a very nice Polish idiom which translates directly as 'brothel on wheels'.
