Interesting thought ... I never even listen to songs that I like more than once at a time. Seems tacky somehow, like reading a short story twice in one setting.

Yea, I know what you mean, though most of the toothy ones I've seen had quite a bit of readily visible tooth if you looked closely... for sawing motions they're definitely better, I just don't know if those small chips could damage any of the internal organs they pass through.

Oh I wouldn't worry about that. It'll pass right through your gut embedded in all the rest of the food you've eaten. It's way too small to do any damage, and too big to get out of your gut into any organs. Honestly, you'd probably just get a little extra iron which almost everyone needs.

You don't really even have to worry about eating bigger inert items as long as they're not pointy. Or magnetic. :)

Turns out my folks already had a sharpener, I just didn't know about it. The Problem is take care of, I can slice through boneless chicken like it was butter. Which was all I needed really. Gotta say I don't know anything about grit numbers or well pretty much anything you said. I don't "saw" my meat though, I prefer to put the knife in an angle, the pointy part on the meat, then just press on it while I pull the knife towards me. Y'know like you would do with vegetables.

He ate a Cessna 150!!

Thus a sawing motion... or perhaps better: A slicing motion. :) As opposed to merely pressing down and letting the sharp blade cut through the fibers straight.

Bah I just realized that BGEE comes out on the 18th, and I'll be travelling around that time so I won't be around my computer for a few days. Unless it's released on the iPad the same day, I'll be getting pretty antsy towards the end of that trip. If it is, though, that'll make my flight back go by way quicker!

Yayness, I received my copy of "A Clash of Kings" by mail today. It's the only fantasy book series I ever care about beside Lord of the Rings. Truth is, I wouldn't even be aware of it if it wasn't for the HBO's show.

ps: I know it's the wrong forum, but let me just say this about BGEE: meh, big MEH.

edit: My job training begins tomorrow, but I know I'll ace it, it's basically the same as my old job. I know what to do.

September 12, we have elections for our Tweede Kamer (lit. Second Chamber, our House of Representatives / lower house of parliament) and I'm asked to count votes at a polling station in my neighbourhood. I always wondered what happens in there so this should be interesting.

Dutch voters are divided. The two biggest parties are opposites and so are numbers 3 and 4. It will be tough to form a coalition this year. And I'm not sure what to vote yet (that's a firsttimer)

Anyway, tonight I got some info. I was late because I heard other people say they needed my passport, so I went back on my bicycle to get it. I raced so fast, people must have thought I was Willem van der Decken (oh, just google it...) When I was there, all exhausted and sweating, I was one of the few of whom they already had all needed info (including copy of passport). Oh well, some exercise is good.

I just came back from work, damn that feels good to say I just came back from work. Anyway, it was just the training but hey I did get paid. If I'm lucky I should get 36h/week. This should severely cut my BOM time, but hey you understand right ? :p So tomorrow's day two of training and strangely enough part three is Wednesday. So technically I don't work 'till next Thursday. Weird, I can understand why there would be no training on weekends, but why not come back on Monday ?

Monday is Labour Day, Flix. Kind of difficult to ask people to come in on a statutory holiday :p

Oh yeah forgot about Labour Day must've been because I haven't laboured in quite some time. So this time this long weekend actually mean something for me. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool.

I'm still on the "yeah I got a job" high, it'll pass I'm sure

Yeah when holidays don't matter it is super easy to forget about them. I remember during my first summer job I was looking in my calendar in Outlook that already had a bunch of company related things in it and beeping like "Why is there a full day at the start of August totally blanked out?"

I managed to make it to 18 years of age without retaining any knowledge of the Civic Holiday, since I had always been on break from school in the previous years.

The high will probably last until you have one of those days where you just want to come on here and vent. I've had a few of those, but since my company is a third party software provider for so many other companies that without being able to say which specific one is annoying me on any given day it kind of ruins the whole point of the stories! Suffice to say this past week has had a few big issues coming up with a few partners and their other third parties. I so need this long weekend...

Heh? We have Labour Day on the 1st of May. And we don't get a day off. Seems weird not to labour on labour day... You guys are odd! :p :shake:

Enjoy the weekend, Reep! Anything special planned? Or intentionally not and have a No Obligations Weekend?

Some people do get Labour Day off around here: a mate of mine used to work for a municipality with commie roots (or maybe socialistic, either way at the red side of the scale) and they all got the 1st of May off.

Everybody at the company I work at had to take the 1st of May off this year as well, because my boss thought it was better to close the company the day after Queen's Day ;)

Both May 1st and Constitution Day (June 5th) are "half" holidays here. Meaning, you're supposed to work until 12 and then go listen to socialistic/nationalistic speeches, depending on the date. But since the two days are exactly five weeks apart, many companies ask their workers to work all day on May 1st and give them all day off on June 5th.

Of course May 1st isn't that much about politics any longer; here it is more of a nationwide beer drinking competition. :shake:
