You should bike headless so you don't have to worry about helmet selection.

Master of Nuhn, now I want to visit the Netherlands :D

Montréal's got cycling lane but they only go to the most touristic and fun places (i.e. the gazillion bars, pubs, clubs, restaurant, and of course the mountain). Problem is we have to share the road with cars. The drivers couldn't give a flying f about cycler let me tell ya. Anyway it's still February so there's still too much snow outside :(.

But on the other hand we've got bixi

edit: Ahhh nothing like a good Alexander Keith's Indian Pale Ale on a mild February afternoon. The brewery was bough by Anheuser–Busch InBev (a Belgium co.) does it make this Ale a Belgian beer then ? This says a lot about Canada when the second oldest company is Molson, a brewery. We do love beer

There's loads of cycle lanes round here but the cyclists won't use them. Apparently riding on the road is more 'real'. They also cycle 3/4 abreast down very narrow roads that have speed limits of 60mph and then go mad because people nearly knock them over! Makes me so mad!
The worst though is the ones who drive on the dual-carriageways (Highways) in rush hour and don't bother using lights of hi-viz clothing

Is the police asleep or what? If they cracked down on that, it shouldn't take long to knock some sense into them.

Last nights party was a blast. Some chick showed up complaining about the noise. With a big stick. No one got seriously injured, but some girls were really shocked and the stickchick was arrested. It was only four o'clock, so we continued to the afterparty. We got kicked out, because apparently, one of us was dancing too wildly. (Not me, definitely not me.)

Awww, Saber beat me to it, though I was gonna do an old school Dragon Quest-style battle instead of Pokémon.

    A SPAMBOT draws near ! Command ?

Meh, stupid work ! If I hadn't to go I would totally had time to post it.

I have migraine. May God have mercy on those who get on my nerves today.

    ---------- Added 2 hours, 4 minutes and 18 seconds later... ----------

More fun with our Defence Minister: The successor of the professor who oversaw his PhD thesis is outraged, and is asking pointedly and publicly how, if he is not lying, he could have not noted that he copy-pasted 30% of his thesis - in that case he would be interested in the opinion of a psychologist about repression of reality.

But that of course, as the good professor well knows, is not the case. It is abundantly clear v u z Guttenberg plagiarised his thesis. The interesting question is about the genesis of the text.

Personally my best guess is that he didn't write it himself. Having probably started it in good faith, the thing went over his head and he couldn't cope with writing it with family and career at the same time. The seven years duration for the thesis speak a clear language in that regard. So he probably just handed over his draft and all his notes to a ghost writer who then continued the piece and brought it to an end.

Since v u z Guttenberg declared with his signature at the end of the thesis that he wrote it himself, he cannot say that it wasn't his mistake, without admitting to the crime of fraud (a clear cut case). That explains his agonising.

How do you know he was filthy? Maybe he had a family of 12 to feed and was spamming various sites in a desperate bid to get much needed medicine for Tiny Tim, his afflicted youngest son? And people call ME judgemental! Ha! ;)

edit: Ragusa, maybe he's guilty of the crime of moronicism! Or gross stupidity! Or he doesn't know what "plagiarism" is! Lots of excuses. We had a little douche student once in high school, who copied a 700 word paper word for word -- when we braced him and his piece of <snip> mother about it, she said "maybe he read it and accidently used some of the ideas from it in his paper" - -she said that AFTER it had been shown to her that the paper was a word for word copy.

The venality and stupidity of some people just boggles my mind.

[IMG] I have a mix of Rammstein and BG battle music stuck in my head :mommy: strangely enough it isn't helping my headache.

On the upside the migraine from yesterday has mostly past and I'm starting to remember things I've done lately :)
