Yeah, that's increased a fair bit. In fact...
300 posts in 7 years, means an average of approximately 42.9 posts per year.
1200 posts in 1.5 years means an average of about 800 posts per year.

In other words, your average ppy (posts per year, of course) is now 1865% of what it was in the initial 7 year time-frame. Pretty good going!

hahaha, thanks Decados. But what is the different percentage between the 7 year span and the 1.5 year span of posts per seconds? :p

Yes, I am coming! When you go into the community tab, you can sort the members per number of posts. My goal is to get onto the first three pages...

ION, my cold had gotten worst. I feel like I have been hit by a truck...

Yeah, I was supposed to be working on my dissertation. I am far too predictable!

Well, the answer to this is actually quite simple: the percentage will be the same. Changing to seconds won't affect the ratio of [posts per time unit in 7 year period] to [posts per time unit in 1.5 year period]. Of course, I assume that you were jokingly suggesting that I work out your posts per second in the two different time periods. As if I would do that...

    7*365*24*60*60 = 220752000 seconds in 7 years.
300/220752000 = 0.00000136 posts per second in first time period.

    1.5*365*24*60*60 = 47304000 seconds in 1.5 years.
1200/47304000 = 0.0000254 posts per second in second time period.
    (Still feeling impressive?)

We can work out what the second result is, expressed as a percentage of the first, quite easily:
    0.0000254/0.00000136 = 18.68
In other words, the second is 1868% of the first (and this approximately answers your question). Note that the difference between this result and the initial one (1865%) is only 3%, an error to be expected due to my rounding to a low number of significant figures. The first would be more accurate, as there is less rounding there.

Another note we could make is that I did not include leap years in this. I felt the difference would be negligible considering the length of time and the fact that I was rounding both time periods in the first place. I could work it out...but I think this has gone on long enough! ;)

Tl;dr version: Maths is not a joking matter.

Tri-cactus, you silly worthless do-goody-two-shoes bastard, think back long enough... it was my French-Canadians, Rise and Shine thread that lured you to posting from your registered lurker state. Remember that?

Really? What was it about (besides french-canadians). I don't remember it at all... haha I think my coming out of lurking closet had to do with Sil and Blades, I think. Hey about Blades, is he still around? I don't see much of him anymore...

    Awww, I made a contribution!

I lovee men who speak French. Even Canadian-French. Don't like women speaking it though. Had a French woman teach me French at school and she always sounded like she had a cold

Tri-cactus, you silly bastard, of course you don't remember, it was on the old boards. I basically called out other French-Canucks, and it derailed about poutine and all the garbage that makes French-Canucks, well, French-Canucks. I'm not sure about this one, but didn't you used to have a mushroom guy as avatar?

Had a nice Sinterklaas party with my new roommates. Got a nice green mug, but I didn't know who gave me that present. So I had to guess.

I'll explain a bit about how gifts work at Sinterklaas. Officially, we get our presents from this guy:
Sinterklaas celebrates his birthday by giving away presents to all people of the Netherlands (and some other countries.) Each present is accompanied by a poem. This poem explains why the given present was selected. Sinterklaas is not really good at composing these poems, so he lets his assistants compose them. Here are som of these assistants:

Unfortunately, neither Sinterklaas or Zwarte Piet exist :( So you have to do it yourself. You draw a persons name from the set of all people who will attend that party and then select and buy a present and compose the poem. The one who receives the present will not know from who he received it. So you have to drop subtle hints in selecting the present and in the poem. After everyone has received his gift and read the poem, he will have to guess from who he received that gift. This is the part where we sidestepped the tradition. If you made a wrong guess, you would have to drink a double shot of tequilla. I made three wrong guesses so that was *fun* :D
