    BEAT HIM!!!

    Took Ashley to school this morning and have taken a dislike to one of the other mums.
    All our kids are 3-4 years old. They're in a church aided state school. We all walk our kids to school. We're all pretty much in the same boat.
    However, this woman is one of those 'Oh, my little Oliver was potty trained before he was born! My little Oliver has an IQ of 1750! I was going to bring the Jag today because I didn't want my little Oliver to get coldy-woldy!'

    What a load of balls. I was stood with another woman who said 'Oh, my little Charlie just stuck a crayon up his nose!' We both started howling laughing and got glared at :lol:

    The worst thing is that this woman heard the teacher call me Mrs. Duncombe-Shafto and then came over to tell me all about everything she'd ever heard of the Shafto family (old aristocracy :() and that she'd been to Whitworth hall (the old family home) and then said 'Of course, the family left that place well over 150 years ago'
    She wasn't happy when I said 'Actually, my husband grew up there, they still owned it until the 1980's'
    I hate people like that. I KNOW my husbands family history. I have to know because my father-in-law is a knob and tells everyone about it. It came in handy though for making this snobby know-all look like a pillock

    You can only crop to rectangles. I imagine to do what you want you probably want to look into the layer mask.

    Perhaps you can look at the instruction manual that came with GIMP. The layer mask is essentially a means of designating the opacity of pixels individually within a given layer.

    I can't actually understand a word of the manual to be honest. I need things like Step 1)Double click icon. Step 2) Wait for programme to load etc

    Point taken, but no, I have this mental image of her abruptly beginning to recite Pushin, on Russian, lost in reverie, when I have so much more mundane things in mind (or make it Dostoevsky, then it would be punishment without the crime). And then the gushing. While I am undeniably pretty awesome, I am not THAT great.
