I know of them, only from my brother listening to a couple of their songs. I've heard them mentioned by numerous people in the past though.

They are a strange band, not really my type of music, but I don't mind them.

Weisses fleisch. White flesh. Ingenious, and "slightly" sick lyrics. The reason I luv them.
And yes we are all living in Amerika.

Being part of 'The Matrix' soundtrack (that's 'The Matrix' I, the first one) is what set them off internationally. They were quite popular for a bit till the novely wore off. People just gave up on not being able to understand what they were saying.

I was 17 when I truely understood english. Until then english was just that funny tv language. As you can see, I have not got the spelling right, not to mention my horrible grammatics. I'm guessing here. I don't get german. I had it in school and got a five (F- I guess), but I get Rammstein, cuz it's like a feeling. They just send out a whole lot of vibes. Also I have downloaded the translation of their lyrics, in english, not my native faroese.

I sometimes think it's better NOT to understand their lyrics (e.g. Mein Teil on the Resie, Reise album). But I like them overall. I used to listen to them a few years ago and then they sorta disappeared from my radar, until I heard Amerika - great song :D

I don't lime them. Boring music combined with very sick lyrics.

There are better industrial bands out there

    Rammstein is great.

@Zurga: You're definitely not alone my friend, I've got almost all their albums. And they rock! :D

Actually, anyone played C&C: Red Alert? As far as I know, they're the ones who composed the lead track, "Hell March". It's quite good.
I'm not a big fan of metal, but I tend to like them. The music is nice, even if you don't get the lyrics.

They are pretty cool, but when you listen to an entire album it gets a bit boring after a while.

I do own all their studio albums and listen to them once in a while...

I prefer them in German because "You. You hate." sounds REALLY lame. Du Hast sounds killer.

I've only heard them sing in German and I like most of what I've heard.

Especially like their song on the Lilya 4-ever soundtrack. Can't think of the name at present. We analysed the lyrics in German class last year. I don't think of them as just sick.

It's actually a word-play. It means "you, you've got me". hate has two s.

What I liked was Engel and Sonne, but I don't think they're so amazing. But I've got used to their rollling rrrrrr. Heard them enough in the meantime. Amerika is quite funny.

My first taste of Rammstein was Du Hast as well. I've since heard only a few of their tracks but I have on video one of their concerts and it's absolutely killer. I'd love to know what they're actually singing though.
