    I just finished the Thief quest to pick up Edwin. I now have the group I had in BG1 expect Imoen and I was going to go afte her. It was the first thing I did. I didn't even clean out C.C. yet. I just might start over. I do like Abdel as a ranger but I really wanted to duel to a mage. Nothing would be like a Stalker Mage.

    Mmm, I'm pretty sure the BG2 manual indicates that Ranger/Mage is a viable multiclass, actually (in the chart of multiclasses, perhaps? I don't have the manual with me). Too bad the engine doesn't actually allow it, since that would be (imo) a much more fun alternative to Stalker, and it would better fit my idea of what an average Elf would come out as class-wise (but then, Elves aren't allowed to be Rangers under the BGII engine... meh).

    The manual is often wrong. :) As has been mentioned, the only permitted multi or dualclass for a Ranger is Cleric.

    Elves are allowed to be Rangers under the BGII engine.

    No, it doesn't, and for good reason; R/M is not a valid multiclass at all (in the game or PnP). You can dual class from Ranger to Mage and vice-versa in PnP, but the game engine won't allow it. :bad:
    Also wrong. Elves are allowed to be rangers, but not druids (even in PnP). Seems silly, but... *shrug*

    And elves can not be C/M MCs. Why? They never mix Priesthood with anything else for some reason. (blasphemy?)

    Ugh, elves are way too snobbish BTW, half-elves are best IMHO.

    So if you dual after 3 milion XP, once you reach 3 Milion in your second class as well, will you pick HLAs of both classes or not?

    Are you sure? AFAIK elves can not legally MC a cleric/mage. I tried, but the option was not high-lighted in the available MC options. Aerie is just another 'cheater' NPC, but she is also an Avariel to begin with, maybe they use different rules than elves. Who can correct me?

    What about the second question? :confused:

    Sorry, Aerie's an illegal. Only half-elves and gnomes can be MC C/M(Illusionist). And of course humans can dual.
