Problems With Conjurers

    [​IMG] I resatarted the game yesterday, with HOW, and TOL installed. I chose a conjurer to my mage, because the specialist mages have bonus spells. I knew from BGI that the Conjurer's opposite school is divination, so I was a little surprised when my mage couldn't learn any evocation spells! I don't have a second edition players book at hand, so please somebody tell me, which magic school is forbidden for the conjurers. Does Icewind Dale apply correctly the rules?

    Heart of Winter changed the opposition schools. The opposition school for a Conjurer is Invocation in HoW.

    HOW also added another opposition school to some of the specialist mages. The following list may help

    Abjurer - Opposition: Alteration & Illusion
    Conjurer - Opposition: Invocation
    Diviner - Opposition: Conjuration/Summoning
    Enchanter - Opposition: Invocation
    Illusionist - Opposition: Necromancy & Abjuration
    Invoker - Opposition: Divination & Conjuration/Summoning
    Necromancer - Illusion & Enchantment/Charm
    Transmuter - Necromancy & Abjuration

    The changes were made to supposedly balance the game.
