Moving to another country is a touch extreme, but One I might have thought long about if the Liberals had gained the Majority support in the last election. But really, why would someone leave the life they'd been living, and were probably happy with over a political climate? America is still the land of the free, isn't it?

The Group therapy sounds ridiculous, but if some people manage to get their insurance to pay for it, then more money to the therapists. Sure I'm not happy with my countries election results, but I'll bitch to someone who isn't being paid from public funds about it, and save conversations with a therapist for something that they are more trained to deal with.

I don't like Paul Martin or the Liberal party. I disagree with their economic platform, I think they dropped the ball on family values and they've become more corrupt as the years have gone on. They should have supported the US in Iraq. I'm not moving out of the country for that reason. The only two reasons I could think of to move out of Canada would be either work or a wife...

 

This just seems weird. Sure, I'm upset about a lot of things, but I don't need therapy for them. Cesard has it right - get over it and stop whining; you're make the rest of us liberals look as bad as you.

 

Naturally, I agree completely with Chandos the Red about how ridiculous conservatives sound when they suggest that liberals move to Canada if they don't like Bush. I mean, did liberals tell you to leave the country when Clinton was in power? Sheesh...

And so what if people do a bit of group therapy? Is this really so shocking in a country that has never had any problem whatsoever in stocking shows like Jerry Springer and Oprah 365 days/year with people willing to air their dirtiest laundry on national television? Not to mention the studio audiences and millions of (red state) home viewers that watch them every day; if these shows don't count as a kind of media group therapy, I don't know what does...

(Tho I must admit, the post election group therapy story does sound like something out of a Woody Allen film...)

 

And after 3 or 4 days of this topic, I'm surprised that nobody has pointed out that this "illness" has initials which spell "pest"...
