POLL: Which of our Moderators and Administrators have the best senses of humour?

I had to vote for BTA because I remember a thread he closed once; where he made the poster look like a total idiot, which made me laugh...and he's made a few funny replies in some of my threads in the past.

 

"Knock it off, you bozo!"-man has my vote.

 

I must say that Tal have wuite the humour, just look at the icons on the index page.

Is this the second year in a row now Tal, or the third?

I went on a dig for the origional 'knock it off, you bozo', but I stopped after some time. I wasn't bored anymore, so I knocked it off. The earliest use of the word 'bozo', though, was found on july 22nd, 2000 and was posted by Tal. This was not the typical warning I was looking for, though.

I'm thinking that Tal's frequent posts in this thread are helping him along, he's almost caught BTA, but it looks like we're running out of voters.

 

Well now you have one more. Both BTA and Tal have great senses of humour, but Tal's provides more of a kick....those one-liners that come out of nowhere, that fairly drip with sarcasm. ("wtf" in the Arrr! chat comes to mind)

 

Wow. All the way back to the year 2000. That brings back memories, I wasn't a part of any board even back then. In fact, I still lived in the middle of a forest.

Anyway, two things have been nagging me that I'd like to ask here. First one being: what was the portrait/picture Tal used before that NwN one came out? I seem to remember it was somehow very original or something.
Second: still not heard of Extremist? At all? I remember him from his picture as well (that was one of the Harmonium's or whatever from PS:T right?).

As far as best sense of humour goes though, I can't really vote on that. Tal takes a more direct approach than most resulting in a lot of text on his part. Then again that text is cold and harsh as often as it is sarcastic and funny. I don't remember many comments from Beren too accurrately save the ones he put out in his crusade to redeem Jaheira with Chev, which was before he came to be a Moderator. And the rest (Blackthorne and the few I remember from before) are too vague a memory for me to say anything about.

I feel the mods here keep a certain distance on purpose. Afterall, this is one of the most strictly observed discussion boards I know. That is not a bad thing, in my opinion. Though it gives an unrealistically bad image of the people moderating here, as they have to watch what they say, and there is no room for playing around with the rules. This inevitably gives an overly negative view compared to the reality of it all.

 

They all have their moments. Poor BTA is always mentioned for his peanutbutter. Is it getting tedious?

 

Just voted. Since Beren is a new mod are we being fair? Not so, say I. Shall we try again next year?

Can't rightly say, since BTA and Taluntain are pretty much as "humourless." Beren, being a new mod, still takes his job perhaps a bit too seriously [no, please don't start commenting this ]. But since I have seen more of Taluntains answers, guess my vote goes for him.
