    I agree with most of your points except this one, because I struggle to see how a married couple can maintain a healthy sex life and avoid having 20 kids without the use of contraception.

    They should find solace in their worship of the lord, not in each other's embrace... apparently.

    Brings us back to the
    idea. If you've seen the skit done by Monty Python it has a catholic family who obeys this rule and has a house full of children yet they are so poor because of said children that they need to sell them to scientific research labs... or something.

    But I stand by the fact that sex is a great thing to do and more ways to protect people from having unwanted pregnancies is always a good thing.
