I refuse to vote in any poll such as this one that doesn't offer Harry Potter as a choice.

Superman would wipe the floor with the lot, as none of them have Kryptonite!

Superman is no match for the power of the Force. Luke's ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is.

By the way, this is EXACTLY the sort of debate that is made fun of in The Simpsons on a regular basis, usually at the same as questioning the hygiene and/or virginity of Comic Book Guy.

Come on guys, be cool. Please.

Wolverine in the first because he's fast, and his Adamantium Claws wild cut through anything. Luke might give him a run for their money, but eventually Wolverine's Meanstreak would prevail over the the Jedi.

Second one. Luke could use the force to block Wolverine, until the force guides his Light saber into the gut of Wolverine.

Third one, Luke will be gang tackled by the guys that were pissed off over hisover use of the Jedi Mind trick the first two rounds that the two that are left woulf be no match for Wolverine...

Luke has an unfair advantage in being able to call upon an energy field created by all living things.

A few more topics like this and HBs fantasy of seeing SP past the 400000 post mark within the month will easily be fulfilled.

Looks like Rake v/s Tomas to me. Think what their THAC0 would be like

Rand isn't my favorite character in the Wheel of Time series but his mastery of the Source is superior to Luke's mastery of the Force.

I think it will be as in the spice girls Hanson fight, Maryllin Manson shows up with a chainsaw and kills them all!

Logan would win hte first one, the second is tough but I voted Rake simply because of experience and the fact that he is more or less a semi-deity. In the all out mega melee I believe in Rand doing a "Dragonmount take 2" on everyones asses.

Drizzt would kick Wolverine's arse in the non-magic division. Sure - adamantium skeleton and regeneration - but Drizzt could practically skin him alive with those whirly blades of doom - and plus if it's just to first blood...

I go Luke for the next one - I can see him using the Force to quite some effect here. If he was a dark side user he'd absolutely demolish these people :p

For the last one I had to put Drizzt again - he has experience in this sort of free for all stab the hell out of everyone waffle.

I'm going for Richard Rahl and Tomas. Mainly because hardly anyone else has. Go Richard, whoo!

Anyway, if Minsc has everything that I'd give him in BG2, then no-one (not even Drizzt) can beat Shadowkeeper!

I'm with Joacquin on this one. Wolverine for the first fight but Anomander Rake (never hearda him before now) would definitely take the next 2 judging from his description.

Tomas from Fiest's books is apparently nearly on par with Gods when it comes down to it. Not sure about some of the others - but if it comes down to just combat skills you should have included Druss and Waylander from the Gemmell books.
I cannot take a Luke that seriously - but this isn't a serious thread. And I've always thought Drizzt was a joke (anyone who needs a panther figurine to babysit for them is a ***** in my book).

[IMG] A summary after 31 votes:

Fight 1. Wolverine is the overwhelming favorite here with 42% of the votes. Drizzt (19%) and Conan (13%) also in the top three.

Fight 2. It seems to be between Luke (35%) and Rand (26%) in this one, Luke being the favorite. Rake (16%) is wildcard. I'm surprised Minsc got as many votes as he did (10%), must be the powerful items he'd have axcess to.

Fight 3. Again Wolverine (29%) is the favorite with Rand (23%) not far behind. Luke (16%) and Drizzt (13%) should't be counted out either.

If you add up the votes from all fights four contestants stand above the rest, Wolverine (23v), Luke (18v), Rand (15v) and Drizzt (10v). Tree contestants FritzChivalry, Jamie Lannister and Richard Rahl are, not surprisingly, left without votes. (Although someone did say they voted for Richard)

Oh, superman would definetly kick Lukes a$$. Should have included him. Would flying be counted as a magical ability? If so he would have been dogmeat in the first fight, but then again he is pretty fast. :p

Up to now, I still wonder why Conan would get any votes. He's a talk show host for God's sake!

even if flying, xray vision and heat vision weren't allowed in round 1, Supes would STILL win. Come on, his only liabilities are Kryptonite and his morals, but since he'd be fighting seriously and against nobody with kryptonite, his speed, strength and invulnerability would take the show. I am resolved in my opinion that the only person who could take Superman out is Batman (provided he had time) and NOT just because he has a kryptonite ring :p

As you say, not surprisingly. Fitz is a great guy but he shouldn't even be on this poll :p And Jamie is only human (and not Batman :p ) so he would definitely get his ass trounced, especially now that he has to fight with his off hand.
