I'm past the multi-blade shavers. They are ok when you shave daily I presume. I shave every three or so days. My beard is by then usually long enough to get stuck between the blades so that I spend more time with making the silly things serviceable again than with shaving.

No thank you. Only those for me. I also feel they are more precise than the others.

I wear either boxers, or boxer briefs and I shave electronically wet. I have the philishave which you can use while under the shower, absolutely love that thing!

Does this mean that clean-shaven is old skool and beards are the new 'in thing'?

I use an electric shaver, but a Gilette Mach 3 to finish the job. My electric shaver's abysmally cheap, so I can't get a clean shave with it. Eventually I'll change the multibladed monstrosity into an older version of Gilette with classic razorblades, as soon as I'll run out of my stash of Mach 3 blades.

I have a beard, but it needs trimming, and moustache don't look that good on me, so that's why I shave.

As for underwear, I'm slowly moving towards wearing boxers all the time. But I still have a lot of briefs, so that might take a while. I'm not going to change my wardrobe in one go, since that would be a little too expensive.

Don't know about old skool, but I'm under the impression that ladies like men who wear boxers

Briefs are what a boy's momma buys him.

Anyone who shaves shouldn't be wearing briefs. Boxers, commando, bikini, g-string, ... anything but briefs.

And what's this 'skool' stuff. Is it cool to misspell school?

I prefer going commando, but it makes my jeans stinky. So, to stop that I wear boxers. Briefs make me hurt. And I hate shaving...I shave once or twice a month...

I'm using a multi-blade razor. But I was wondering, what do all the blades even do?
One lifts the skin while the other three kill you?

Well, the first blade 'hooks' into the hair and pulls it up (ow), then the second cuts through it, at a point 'below the surface' (when the hair retracts back, and doesn't get the follicle yoinked out completely ;) ). The third is the blade union's Shop Steward, and the fourth is the OSHA rep. :p

But seriously, who's Gilette really think they're fooling with this 'reduce skin tension' by having even MORE blades at once...and then having a single blade on the other side of the cartridge? Doesn't, logically, that single 'tricky spot' blade have ALL the skin tension problems they're supposed to fix with this huge monstrosity?!?

Wet shaving and briefs. We've never had boxers in this country, so wearing them would be a dangerous indication of modernist tendencies. :p

At my old work there were a couple of Polish guys who worked in the warehouse (there's bloody loads of Poles over here these days!). They got absolutely crucified when all the other lads found out that they wore pants. Now I know why!

I am completely amazed at how popular wet shaving is on these Boards. Nobody I know (other than you guys) wet shaves. I guess when the power runs out, you'll all be clean shaven and I'll have the big beard.

Yeah, Barmy. We don't have swimming shorts, either. It's a recent thing and gaining ground, but not dominant.

How can a country that is connected physically to the rest of Europe be cut off from something so fundamental?

Harbs, wet shaving is causing less skin irritations than electrical shavers. Maybe there are a lot men with sensitive skin here? ;)

As for briefs, I don't like wearing boxers (except at night). I think they are uncomfortable.

I have pretty sensitive skin normally, but I've never had any problems with electric shavers. They're just so convenient.

Shave in the shower, my boys swing free 'neath my stylish boxers.

    Whuddup.
