I've been had this weird idea... While I can't flat-out say that Planescape is my favourite RPG of all times (it comes close, certainly), I remain absolutely amazed by the overall quality of the NPCs there. Now, I don't think having them in your team (or playing them) in another game could do them justice, although I would love to be proved wrong. Still, I've often dreamed about having them make appearances in new games, NWN modules, and the like. So my question is this: if you had to choose 1 Planescape character to see again, which one would it be?

Who I'd like to see: Annah.
Who you're more likely to see: Morte.

Let's face it, talking floating skulls are more generic than Scottish-sounding tieflings. ;)

I voted Dak'kon after a pretty long debate with myself. Runners-up for the top position were Morte, Annah and Grace, and Ravel would also be interesting.

Morte would be my choice. Not only a great character but thinking of the mechanics of it he'd be perfect for a short cameo providing comic relief. Dak'kon, Vhailor or Ravel would work very well if you wanted to make a connection to the plot of the new game.

"Morte" already appears in the NWN mod "Shadows over Daggerford".

Yep, I'd love to see Annah again, but unfortunately there has been an overabundance of tieflings in recent D&D games so I don't know how likely it is.

I really enjoyed the Annah character. But for a cameo Falls-From-Grace would be more interesting.

I voted for Ignus because he's my favorite character and just beyond cool. Of course, dialogue-wise you'd get more out of any of the others.

If we're talking about them appearing in fan-made stuff, my vote goes to none of them, anywhere, ever. As in, hands off.

Toss up between Dak'kon and Morte, but I give it to Dak'kon.

Actually, there is an nwn mod that contains most of the main characters of ps:t. I don't remember how it's called, but it takes you through the circles of hell from Dante. Might be that it's split in more than one mod, even. I don't remember anymore. It was quite good, though rather linear. It plays after the end of PS:t.

I pretty much agree with Susipaistis hands off approach. Taking them out of their original context would not in my opinion be very appropriate. I'd rather have modmakers/developers make their own unique characters and find some more subtle way to give tribute to torment if they find it necessary.
