Alcohol makes me hate myself--literally--so I tend to avoid drinking. Not much fun to be thinking "dear god I'm acting like a jackass, what the hell am I doing?" while being unable to control my behavior.

    Not to mention the taste...

Crown Royal Special Reserve (or regular Crown Royal if that is all there is), neat, rocks, Coke, lemon/lime soda, its all good! If I am somewhere that only serves beer and wine (no hard stuff) I will usually go with something from Mexico; Corona, Dos Equis, Pacifico, etc. Not a huge fan of European beers but as long as it isn't in a green bottle I will drink it. Anything in a green bottle is skunky by the time it gets here. Newcastle is good if it hasn't been sitting for too long, and the Fischer is really good IMO.

Have to agree with Chandos on the Meyers Rum. I have tried quite a few much more expensive rums, and always end up back with Meyers. I wonder how many people have been turned off of rum because their first experience with it was Bacardi? Of course the same could be said for vodka and Smirnoff Red Label. Amazing what good advertising can do for a bad product.

Pure. You don't need to shake or stir undiluted martini :p

Now if we're talking Vodka-Martini... Shaken, not stirred. Naturally

I can really enjoy a good glass of wine of Whiskey but when I'm going out it's mostly beer.

Hmm, as for softdrinks, I like a cool coke from a glassbottle on a hot day - marvellous.

I like Gin-Tonic with some lemon. Great drink to hold yourself to for a party :shake:

 I take it you have not tried any Belgian or Czech beers? I used to think German and Spanish beers were the best, until I tried Hoegarrden and the real Budweiser... I have never looked back. Still a Guiness is good for settling the stomache, and an excellent source of minerals.

Beer by all means! BEER!

However here we drink real beer. Kroninbourg, La maudite, Le fin du monde, La Troi pistole, Some belgium beer I've forgot the name. You know real stuff?

I don't mind a couple glasses of Quantro, Chartreuse, Vodka or Jack Daniels though

    Huum Cheers! :yum:

Like I said, beer for me. But what makes beer great or real? I really have to try the ones you've all mentioned.
