I dunno if this counts, but if I go bushwalking in the long grass without long pants my legs get itchy...but then other people do too...right?

    Edit:
    @ Laiwethel
Don't worry, you can't be more of a klutz than me... ;)

I said no, but I don't know for sure...I think I might be allergic to mornings, so I usually sleep in as late as possible...for my own health you understand :p

Is allergies really a "new" thing? Or has it existed as long as there has been people around?

Allergies have probably existed since even before people; animals can have allergies too. But perception is a big difference here. Perceiving that there are things that one can be allergic to can mean the difference between someone having an allergy or just sneezing for no reason.

    i think it is a newer-ish thing

i remember reading somewhere that people, especially kids, that live in Super-clean houses are more exposed to allergies than everybody else

I have "seasonal" allergies...but when the doctor said that, I think he really meant that I am allergic to all 4 of the seasons. :bang:

Not a day goes by where I don't have an itchy/runny nose, watery eyes, and uncontrollable sneezing... Allegra 180 helps, but it wears off after only 6 hours when it claims to last for 24 hours. :skeptic:

As far as I know I'm allergic to almost all weeds, some grasses, some trees, all types of mold, animal dander (and we have two cats :bad: ), cigarette smoke, and all that crap that collects under the bed...

The stupid thing is, before I moved to Utah, I didn’t have any allergies…but after living here for about 2 years, the started to show up, and within a full year, I was allergic to pretty much everything that’s in the air. The doc said that a climate change like the one I went through can trigger a person’s allergies to act up.

But hey, at least I don't have any food allergies. :thumb: :rolling:

@ shadow lurker: I dunno, I think managing to cut myself on an antique apple peeler and corer, or having a rock hit my finger and split the fingernail 3 ways, or repeatedly twisting ankles can be considered fairly klutzy. Oh yeah, and the various cuts and scrapes I get that I'm not entirely sure how it happened...

Well at least you haven't walked right into a door because you forgot to open it first....or stacked it *up* the stairs...uh~hehehe...
I understand the sudden appearance of strange cuts and bruises all too well...seriously, I never notice these things... :bad:

The only allergy I believe I have is tremendous hay fever, which is quite enough on its own, as anyone else with hay fever will probably tell you.

I'm also allergic to idiots, especially the beefcake-neonazi-hillbilly-wunderbaumsintheircars-"I'mgonnakicyourteethin" -type.

It's dangerous, this allergy. Luckily I've been able to avoid it, since otherwise my eyes would probably be swollen shut, I'd have overall puffiness and a serious threat to my health.
